Questions for any vendor
Put these to every supplier you are comparing.
- Can the mix be changed without losing the old one?
- How does it know when a stack is ready to leave?
- Can we run more than one press?
- Where do strength test results go?
- Does it handle breakage claimed after delivery?
- Can we count the pallets that go out with customers?
- Is the weighbridge or a scale connected?
- What does it cost and how do we see it first?
- Who helps if the yard changes its product range?
Where the work usually breaks today
Circle the ones you recognise. They set the order of the project.
- Mix changes are not written down
- Curing days are guessed
- Pallet counts disagree with the delivery
- Test results sit on loose sheets
- Contractor accounts run on rough counts
