Questions for any vendor
Put these to every supplier you are comparing.
- Can quotations include different cover grades top and bottom?
- How does it track fabric to a belt?
- What does the press section record hold?
- Are adhesion results kept with the belt?
- Can short belts and offcuts be sold?
- Does it cover endless and jointed belts?
- Can customers see their own belt history?
- What drives the cost of a belt system?
- Can our data be taken out?
- Does it replace the press controller?
Where the work usually breaks today
Circle the ones you recognise. They set the order of the project.
- Fabric rolls are issued without lot numbers
- Press sections are not logged
- Cover thickness drifts
- Offcuts of wide belt are lost
- Splice kits go missing
