A checklist built from how water parks work, to print or save as a PDF and bring to any supplier meeting.

Share your requirements

What the software should cover

Tick each one that matters to your business.

  • Water quality and dosing log
  • Lifeguard roster and certificates
  • Attraction capacity and closures
  • Tickets, wristbands and lockers
  • Pumps, filters and slide maintenance
  • Cabanas and group bookings
  • Chemical and consumable stock

Roles that need their own access

Who logs in, and what each person may see or change.

  • For park owners and duty managers
  • For plant technicians
  • For head guards and lifeguards
  • For ticket counters and locker desk
  • For events and cabana staff

Reports to ask for

Ask to see each one with your own sample data.

  • Pool readings by day, with out-of-range entries
  • Lifeguard certificates expiring by month
  • Attendance and peak counts by attraction
  • Weather holds, duration and refunds given
  • Locker keys unreturned and deposits held
  • Chemical stock and weekly consumption by pool
  • Incident and rescue log by attraction

Systems it may need to connect to

Note which ones you already run.

  • Wristband and barcode readers
  • Dosing controller export
  • Payment gateway and card terminals
  • WhatsApp, SMS and email
  • Accounting export

Questions for any vendor

Put these to every supplier you are comparing.

  • Does it store the pool chemical readings?
  • Will it warn us when a lifeguard’s certificate is about to lapse?
  • How does the capacity limit work on a slide?
  • Can readings come straight from the dosing controller?
  • What happens on a rainy day with thunder?
  • How are locker keys and deposits handled?
  • Can we run it for only the summer season?
  • Who owns the readings and guest records?
  • How is the cost decided?
  • How long before the park can open with it?
  • What does the park need to gather before work starts?

Where the work usually breaks today

Circle the ones you recognise. They set the order of the project.

  • Water readings live on a clipboard
  • Guard cover is a name list
  • Capacity is counted by eye
  • Lockers and towels disappear
  • Chemicals run low without notice
