New Hire Onboarding and Training Checklists
Onboarding takes a new bakery hire through documents, hygiene training and first-shift orientation with a checklist. A single list shows whose training is still pending.
Checklist for each new hire
Who is still pending
One list covers the whole shop, with every new hire and every open item on it. A name that has sat there for weeks is easy to see. It is harder to remember.
Recording is not training
Somebody experienced still has to stand beside the new hire at the oven, and that hour is the part that matters. The module records what was taught and when, so the question has an answer later.
Frequently asked questions
Can the shop use its own checklist?
Yes. The list of what a new baker or counter person must be shown is set up once, and every new hire runs through the same one.
What about food handling records?
Training given, to whom and on what date is kept against the person, and the record can be shown when someone asks for it. It does not license the bakery and does not replace an inspection.
Does a new hire get a login on day one?
Yes, for what the role needs and nothing more. A helper does not get the purchase screen, and access widens only when the role changes.
Can a person be set up before arriving?
Yes. The record and the checklist can be created before the person arrives. Documents are ticked off one by one as they are brought in over the first weeks.
