Chit Fund Software Views by Role
Four groups of people use the chit software: foremen and managing directors, office staff, collection agents and subscribers. Each one sees the screens that match their work.
The four roles
How the roles meet during a month
The office opens a group and assigns members to ticket numbers. Collections come in at the counter and in the field through the month, each recorded against a ticket and its due. At the auction the winning ticket and bid are entered, and the foreman approves the result. Next month’s dues are then raised with the dividend deducted. The prized ticket’s payout waits until security is verified.
What each role does not see
A subscriber sees only their own tickets. Other members, other groups and the company’s commission are not shown to them, and cash taken in the field reaches the system only when an agent records it. Which screens each office user may open is settled during implementation.
Companies this suits
- Chit companies running several groups at once, with an office and field agents
- Foremen who want auction figures and next month’s dues worked out the same evening
- Firms whose subscribers keep phoning to ask what they owe this month
- Owners who want a record of who approved each auction and each payout
Frequently asked questions
Who approves an auction result?
The foreman or managing director. The result is recorded with the approver’s name and the time.
What can a collection agent see?
The tickets and dues needed to record a payment in the field, with the members they introduced linked to them.
Do subscribers need an app?
No. The member portal opens in the phone browser. Subscribers see their own dues, payments and KYC status.
Can staff roles be adjusted for our office?
Yes, where your office divides work differently. What each user may open is settled with the company before go-live.
