Reports for Builders and Project Managers
These reports combine the money, material, labour and schedule of each site. Budget against spend, unpaid bills, retention, material issued, wages, stage progress and advances are all read from live records.
Site data in one place
A builder with several sites often keeps separate files for the store, the wage sheets and the bills. A question about one site then means joining those files by hand. These reports read from records that site staff, the store and the billing team already update, so one question can be answered from one place.
The reports
Who acts on them
Owners and partners read unpaid bills and the budget position. Project managers read stage progress and the delay list. Billing engineers work from running bills and retention. Storekeepers and site engineers read material issued against indents, and accounts reads advances and what is still owed.
What the figures reflect
The figures reflect what has been recorded. Attendance must be marked, material issued and bills posted for a report to be complete. A figure that looks low often points to an entry not yet made. Reports beyond this list are scoped during implementation.
Frequently asked questions
Are the reports live?
Yes. They are built from the latest entries, so they change as each entry is made.
Can the reports be exported to Excel?
Excel is one of the connections listed for rate lists and measurement sheets. Whether a given report is exported is agreed during implementation.
Does a report show why a stage is late?
Yes. Stage progress is shown against the planned date with the reason for each stopped day, so slippage is read as a list of dates.
Can a project manager see only their own sites?
Yes, where the firm sets it up that way. Reports follow the role of the person reading them.
