Fire Extinguisher and Equipment Register
Fire protection equipment is countable, and each piece carries its own dates. The register holds serial, type, capacity and position for every item your company supplied or now services.
What is recorded for each item
Dates carried on every item
An extinguisher has a refill date and a pressure test year. A hose reel has a check date. A panel has a service interval. Each item holds its own next date, so the schedule is read from the register rather than from a wall chart. Intervals follow what you and the client have agreed for that site.
How items enter and leave the register
What this register does not do
- It does not judge whether a building holds enough equipment
- It does not issue any certificate on your behalf
- It holds the dates you set, not any authority’s requirement
- Serials that were never stamped cannot be invented for you
Frequently asked questions
Can we print QR tags for each cylinder?
Yes. A label with the serial and a code can be printed, and scanning it on a visit opens that item.
What happens when two cylinders carry the same serial?
The second entry is flagged so your store staff can check the stamping. A site reference keeps the two apart until then.
Can old registers be loaded in bulk?
Yes. Serials, types, positions and dates from your sheets or current software are imported during set up.
Does the register say a site is compliant?
No. It reports what equipment stands where and which dates have passed. Compliance is for the client and their advisers to settle.
