Fire Extinguisher Refilling and Testing Jobs
Cylinders leave a building, reach your workshop and come back. This module follows each one through pickup, refilling, pressure testing and return, so nothing is left unaccounted.
Pickup from the site
Work in the workshop
Each cylinder becomes a line in a refill batch. Powder or gas filled is recorded against it, with the weight, the valve or hose changed and the technician who did the work. A hydrostatic test is entered with the year and the result. A cylinder that fails is marked condemned, and the client is told what it would cost to replace it.
Return and update
What your company decides
- Refill and pressure test intervals agreed with each client
- Whether standby cylinders are offered, and how many you hold
- How a condemned cylinder is disposed of and recorded
- Which refills are covered by a contract and which are billed
Frequently asked questions
Can a part load be picked up?
Yes. Any number of serials can go on one pickup, and the rest of the site register is untouched.
How do we know which cylinders are still out?
A list shows every serial away from its position, how long it has been away and the standby left in its place.
Are refill weights recorded?
Yes. Powder or gas filled is entered per cylinder, which also draws down your workshop stock.
Does it print a test certificate?
It prints your own refill and test record for the client, carrying the serials, dates and results you entered. Any formal certification is your company’s call.
