Fire Safety Site and Building Records
A fire safety company works across factories, hospitals, malls and housing societies. Each site is held once, with its blocks, its contacts and the equipment installed in every corner.
What a site record holds
Equipment placed inside the site
Every extinguisher, hydrant point, sprinkler zone, detector, hooter and panel is tagged to a position within the site. A technician reading the ground floor loading bay sees the four cylinders standing there, their types and their next refill dates. When a cylinder moves to another block, the position changes and the earlier one stays in the history.
Where the site record is used next
What the client decides
- How a site is divided into blocks, floors, sheds or gates
- Which contact person hears about visits, faults and due dates
- Whether several buildings of one company are one site or many
- Who in your office may add, edit or close a site
Frequently asked questions
Can one client have many sites?
Yes. A company with six buildings keeps six site records, and billing can go to one head office or to each building separately.
How is a cylinder linked to a position inside the building?
Each item sits under a block, floor or gate that you have named. Moving it writes the new position and keeps the old one.
Does a closed site disappear?
No. The site is marked closed, and its equipment register, visit sheets and invoices stay readable afterwards.
Who creates a new site?
Office staff holding that permission. The first entry can be typed from the survey sheet your own surveyor filled at the building.
