Fire Safety Spares and Cylinder Stock
A fire safety company holds powder, gas, cylinders, heads, valves and devices in stock. Each item is counted in the godown and in the vans your technicians drive.
What is counted
Issues and returns
Material leaves on an issue note against a project, a refill batch or a service visit. Unused parts come back the same way. Because every issue points at a job, an owner can read material consumed per installation instead of one godown figure for the whole month. Reorder levels are set per item.
Buying and receiving
What stock counting leaves to you
- Reorder levels for each item in the godown and in vans
- Whether van stock is verified weekly, monthly or on return
- How condemned cylinders are disposed of and by whom
- Which staff may issue material without an approval
Frequently asked questions
Can each van hold its own stock?
Yes. A technician’s van is a separate location, and parts fitted at a site are deducted from that van.
How is powder consumption checked against refills?
Refill entries record the weight filled per cylinder. That total is then compared with the powder issued to your workshop during the same period.
Does it handle physical stock counts?
Yes. A count sheet is printed or filled on a phone, and the difference against the book figure is shown for approval.
Can purchase bills be matched to orders?
Yes. Quantity ordered, quantity received and quantity billed sit together, so a short supply is visible before payment.
