Reports for Fire Safety Company Owners and Managers

Nothing here asks your staff for extra typing. Every figure is drawn from the equipment registers, visit sheets, issue notes, contracts and invoices already entered.

Work falling due

Equipment due for refilling and testing

Cylinders and devices past their date or close to it, grouped by building, so one trip can clear a whole site.

Visits completed and pending by technician

Calls given, calls closed and sheets signed for each person in the field. A pattern of slipping visits shows early.

Contracts by end date

Annual contracts listed by when they finish, with calls used against calls promised beside each building.

Where things are stuck

Faults by site

Defects logged, closed and still open for each building, with the age of the oldest one. A client meeting starts here.

Cylinders away from site

Every serial out for refilling or testing, the days it has been away and the standby cylinder left in its place.

Material against installations

Issued, returned and consumed quantities for a project, set beside the quantities that were quoted.

Invoices and balances by client

Amounts billed, received and pending, grouped by how long they have waited. Your collection calls work from this list.

How the figures are read

Each report runs on the records as they stand when you open it, which means a sheet closed an hour ago is already counted. Date ranges, a single building, one client or one technician can be chosen. Anything on screen can be taken out as a spreadsheet for your accountant or for a client review meeting. Printing is plain and readable.

What reports will not tell you

  • Whether a building meets any authority’s requirement
  • What price to quote at the next renewal
  • Figures for work your staff never entered
  • Anything about a client’s own tax position
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can a report cover one client across four buildings?

Yes. Any report can be filtered to a client, a building, an area or a technician, over the dates you pick.

Is a new report chargeable?

A report beyond the standard set is quoted as its own small piece of work, once you describe the columns you want.

How current are the numbers?

They read whatever has been saved. A refill entered in the workshop this morning counts in the afternoon.

Can the owner see this on a phone?

Yes. The main figures open on a phone browser, which suits an owner travelling between sites.
