Questions for any vendor
Put these to every supplier you are comparing.
- Does a weighbridge ticket flow into the invoice?
- Do rates change by zone?
- How are hired tipper owners paid?
- Can one site order take many loads?
- Where are grading tests kept?
- Does bought-in stone get tracked too?
- Do we need a particular weighbridge?
- What happens to open contractor balances?
- What makes the quote bigger or smaller?
- Can we export tickets and invoices?
Where the work usually breaks today
Circle the ones you recognise. They set the order of the project.
- Tickets and invoices drift apart
- Delivered rates are quoted from memory
- Stockpiles run short without warning
- Hired haulier trips are argued
- Grading test results are filed apart
