Questions for any vendor
Put these to every supplier you are comparing.
- How is a cell lot linked to a rack?
- Can the system store test curves?
- What if a firmware release is withdrawn?
- Can we quarantine a weak cell lot?
- Does it handle racks of different sizes?
- Can the container build be tracked by supplier part?
- Does it set safety or transport rules?
- How do you quote this?
Where the work usually breaks today
Circle the ones you recognise. They set the order of the project.
- Cell grades are lost between sorting and stacking
- Firmware versions are not tied to the serial
- Busbar weld and torque records are on paper
- End-of-line results are kept per test rig
- Container builds mix many suppliers’ parts
