Questions for any vendor
Put these to every supplier you are comparing.
- Can I trace a driver lot to the projects that used it?
- How are specification variants controlled?
- Does the system store burn-in results?
- Can we keep laboratory photometric reports?
- How are samples tracked?
- What happens with partial dispatches?
- Can service staff see a fitting’s history?
- What shapes the cost?
- Can supplier part lists be imported?
- Who looks after changes to models?
Where the work usually breaks today
Circle the ones you recognise. They set the order of the project.
- Component lots are not linked to fittings
- Specifications change after the order
- Burn-in sheets are loose paper
- LED board supply is uneven
- Warranty claims arrive without batch data
