Manufacturing · Software for industrial lighting manufacturers

Link every luminaire to its LED board batch, driver lot and burn-in result.

Industrial luminaires are assembled from housings, LED boards, drivers and lenses that arrive from different suppliers. The software for lighting manufacturers records each component lot, the burn-in result and the lumen and wattage specification, then follows the fitting to the project it was built for.

At a glance

An industrial lighting maker builds high bay, flood, street and hazardous area fittings. A housing is die cast or extruded. An LED board is mounted on a heat sink, a driver is wired in and a lens is fitted before the unit moves to the burn-in rack. The finished fitting must match a lumen, colour temperature and ingress rating that the specifier wrote down, and the maker has to prove that match on request months after the delivery. Records matter.

Order and batch tracking for lighting plants keeps those specifications beside the components. The link is simple. It records which driver lot went into which luminaire. It also shows how long each fitting was burnt in. Picture one project order moving from quotation through the line to the crate label at your dispatch bench, with each hand-off recorded.

How the work runs today

A project enquiry arrives from a contractor or a consultant with a lighting schedule: fitting type, wattage, beam angle, colour temperature, mounting height and quantity. The estimator selects a catalogue model. Otherwise the design team is asked for a variant. Samples may be sent for approval before the order is confirmed. A sample that fails on glare or lumen output sends the whole offer back to the drawing board, and the estimator starts again with the design team.

On the floor, aluminium housings arrive from a die caster or are machined in house. LED boards are bought in or placed on boards in an SMT line. Drivers are wired, lenses and gaskets fitted, and each fitting is burnt in for hours. Samples are checked for lumen output and ingress. Failures stop the batch. Fittings are boxed with a datasheet, a warranty slip and the project label. Dispatch follows.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for industrial lighting manufacturers without a proper system.

Component lots are not linked to fittings

A driver lot shows a high failure rate in the field. No record says which luminaires carry it. A recall means opening cartons.

Specifications change after the order

A consultant revises beam angle or colour temperature after approval. The floor carries on with the earlier variant. The gap appears only when the contractor opens a carton on site and checks the beam.

Burn-in sheets are loose paper

Each fitting is run for hours at the burn-in rack, and the result is a tick on a sheet. Failures are written up late. Some are never written.

LED board supply is uneven

LED boards from different bins give different lumen outputs. Mixing them in one project produces visible colour differences on the ceiling.

Warranty claims arrive without batch data

A client reports dim fittings after a year. The maker cannot say which board batch or driver went into the order.

What the software does

What we would build for industrial lighting manufacturers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Luminaire model and variant master

Store each fitting with wattage, lumen output, colour temperature, beam angle and ingress rating, plus the variants built for projects.

Component lot register

Track housing, LED board, driver, lens and gasket lots from receipt through to the fitting they were used in.

Assembly work orders

Release assembly orders by project and variant, with the bill of materials fixed at the approved specification.

Burn-in and photometric records

Capture burn-in hours, failures, lumen readings and ingress checks per batch or per fitting, as your test routine requires.

Project orders and packing

Group fittings by project, print carton labels and packing lists and track partial dispatches.

Warranty and service log

Record claims against the fitting’s batch, with the replacement or repair done.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions industrial lighting manufacturers ask before they call.

Can I find every fitting built with one driver lot?

Yes. Each assembly records the driver, LED board and lens lots used. A search by lot returns the fittings and the projects they were shipped to.

How are specification changes handled?

Each variant owns its parts list. If a consultant changes beam angle or colour temperature, a new variant goes out and the earlier one stops at the bench.

Does it store photometric files?

Test readings and attached report files can be stored with the model. The measurements themselves come from your own lab or an outside laboratory.

Is it suited to an assembly-only business?

Yes. A maker who buys complete housings and boards still needs lot tracking, burn-in records and project packing, and those are the same modules.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
