Trace every module back to its cells, glass lot and flash test result.

A module line turns cells, glass, encapsulant and backsheet into a rated panel with a serial number. Buyers ask which cell lot went into which module and what its flash test showed. That question needs a record. The solar panel manufacturer software links incoming lots, stringer and laminator runs, test results and power bins to each serial, so a pallet can be traced after it ships.

At a glance

A module is built in layers: glass, encapsulant, a matrix of soldered cells, encapsulant again and a backsheet. Heat and pressure bind them. The laminator does the rest. A fault in one lot of cells or ribbon can sit inside hundreds of finished panels before anyone sees it, and a buyer’s claim then reaches back across several months of output.

Production software for solar panel makers keeps the lot trail per serial number. Cell grade, ribbon lot, laminator batch and the flash test result all attach to one module record. Pick any pallet and we will follow it from incoming cells, through lamination and flash testing, to the packing list, serial by serial.

How the work runs today

Cells arrive in boxes graded by efficiency class and colour, with a supplier lot. Stores log them, along with glass, EVA film, backsheet, ribbon, junction boxes and frames. The stringer solders cells into strings. A layup operator builds the matrix between glass and film, and an electroluminescence check looks for cracks before the laminator closes, since a cracked cell cannot be fixed afterwards.

After lamination the edges are trimmed and the frame and junction box go on. Each module is flashed under a simulator, and its power, voltage and current are recorded against the serial number. Modules are sorted into power bins, labelled, stacked on pallets and listed on the packing list for the buyer’s order. Done.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for solar panel manufacturers without a proper system.

Cell lots are not tied to serials

One customer finds hot spots across modules shipped together. Without the lot link you cannot say which cells went into which module. Every pallet is suspect.

Flash test data lives on the tester

Results sit on a file in the simulator’s computer. They are copied to a sheet at shift end. Some rows never arrive.

Power bins decide the price, and sorting is manual

A module that tests at the top of its bin sells at one rate and the next bin down at another. Hand sorting from a printout makes mistakes. The buyer sees them on delivery.

Consumables run out mid-shift

Ribbon, flux, EVA film and junction box adhesive are counted by eye. The stringer stops. Someone looks for a reel in the wrong store.

Rejected modules have no reason code

A panel pulled for cracked cells, a misaligned string or a delaminated edge goes to a rework pile. The cause is not recorded, so the same fault returns next week.

What the software does

What we would build for solar panel manufacturers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Cell, glass and film receiving

Log each incoming lot with its efficiency class, colour grade, supplier certificate and storage rack, so every module can name its cells.

String and layup tracking

Record the stringer run, ribbon lot and layup operator against each matrix before lamination.

Electroluminescence and flash test records

Store the image check and the power, voltage and current result against the module serial number, with the simulator’s reference noted.

Power bin sorting and labels

Place each module in its power bin from the flash result and print the label and serial for the carton or pallet.

Rework and rejection codes

Pull a module for a stated reason, such as cracked cell or lamination bubble, and track whether it was repaired or scrapped.

Packing lists and dispatch

Group modules onto pallets, scan each serial against the buyer’s order and print the paperwork that travels with the load.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions solar panel manufacturers ask before they call.

Can we link a serial number to its cell lot?

Yes. Each serial carries the cell lot, glass lot, ribbon lot and laminator batch used, so a buyer’s complaint opens the exact list of affected modules.

Does it read the flash tester directly?

Not directly. A file import from your simulator can be set up as extra work, and the file layout is agreed with your test engineer in the first workshop.

Can it handle more than one module type?

Yes. A half-cut module and a full-cell one each keep their own bill of materials and power bins, and both can run in the same week.

How do we start with the sheets we keep today?

Open orders, cell inventory and recent flash-test sheets are keyed from your records. Before production starts, we trace a handful of serials alongside you.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
