Manufacturing · Software for countertop manufacturers

Follow every countertop from template and slab choice to cut, edge and fitted install.

Countertop manufacturers fabricate kitchen and bathroom tops from granite, quartz, marble, solid surface and laminate. The software links the site template, the slab chosen, the cut and polish stages and the cutouts to one job. Delivery and install follow. Slab stock and remnants are kept by lot.

At a glance

A countertop is cut from one slab that cannot be replaced. If the template is wrong, the vein runs the wrong way or a cutout is misplaced, the loss is a whole slab and a rescheduled install.

Fabrication software gives each job a single record from the first measure to the fitted top. Templaters upload the measurements. Nothing is retyped. Designers lay out the cut on a slab. Shop crews work from the same layout, and installers know the seams, the cutouts and the edge before they load the van. Because one record carries the layout, the slab number and the install date, a customer question is answered by whoever picks up the phone, without walking to the shop.

How the work runs today

Orders come from homeowners, kitchen designers, builders and dealers. A templater visits the site once cabinets are in, takes measurements and notes sink type, hob model, overhangs and seams. Builders and designers often supply drawings with revisions, so the office keeps the latest version beside the template and notes who approved each change before the saw. The office quotes by square metre or foot, with edge profile, cutouts and splashbacks added. Customers choose a slab from the yard or the showroom, and the chosen slab is tagged to the job. A programmer nests the pieces on that slab, avoiding flaws and matching veins across seams.

In the shop, the slab goes to a bridge saw or a CNC router. The shop cuts, polishes and edges each piece, drills it for taps and cuts out sinks and hobs. Quality staff check dimensions against the template and examine the surface of each finished piece under strong light for chips, scratches, resin patches and any hairline cracks near cutouts. Finished tops are racked, wrapped and loaded in install order. Crews fit the tops, glue seams, seal joints and connect to the cabinets. A small job takes an hour. A large kitchen takes a day, with two fitters and a helper to carry and lift. Remnants return to stock for small jobs. Accounts invoice the deposit, the balance and any extras.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for countertop manufacturers without a proper system.

Template data is retyped

A measurement taken on site is copied into a layout by hand. Nobody spots a swapped digit until the slab will not fit the cabinets.

Slabs are chosen but not reserved

A customer picks a slab, and another job is nested on it a day later. Nobody knows until the saw operator looks for it.

Remnants are never reused

Offcuts are stacked in a corner with no size or lot record, so a vanity top gets a fresh slab while a perfectly good remnant sits unused for months.

Cutouts and edges differ from the order

The shop receives a sink model and a profile on a sheet that was revised twice. The shop cuts to the old version.

Install days slip

A top is waiting on polishing or a missing splashback. The crew arrives to find it not loaded, and the customer’s kitchen is out of use for another week.

What the software does

What we would build for countertop manufacturers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Quotations and customer selections

Price tops by area, edge, cutout and splashback, and record the slab, colour and finish the customer chose.

Templates and measurements

Attach site measurements, photographs and layout sketches to the job so the shop works from the figures taken on site.

Slab and remnant inventory

Track slabs by lot, thickness and size, reserve one to a job, and return the offcuts to stock as remnants.

Cut layouts and production stages

Move each top through cutting, edging, polishing and cutouts, and see which pieces are waiting at which station.

Quality checks

Check dimensions against the template and surface condition before wrapping, and record rework with its cause.

Delivery and install scheduling

Plan loads and install crews by day, load in the order of fitting, and record completion with photographs.

Stage invoices and payments

Invoice deposit, balance and extras against each job, with tax set for the country and receipts posted.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, Tally reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions countertop manufacturers ask before they call.

Can slabs be reserved to a customer’s job?

Yes. A slab is tagged to a job once the customer selects it, and it no longer appears as free stock when another job is laid out.

Does it keep track of remnants?

Offcuts are entered with their size, lot and thickness, and they appear as stock for small jobs. A vanity or a splashback can be matched to a remnant before a new slab is opened.

Can templaters use a phone on site?

Yes. The templater opens the job, enters dimensions, notes the sink and hob models and adds photographs. A tablet or phone with a browser is enough. Signal is needed to save.

Can it work alongside our CNC saw or nesting package?

Layout files from a nesting program can be attached to the job. A direct link to machines depends on the software and is scoped during implementation.

What happens in the free technology audit?

We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
