Manufacturing · Software for control panel manufacturers

Keep each panel’s drawing revision, component list and test sheet together.

Software for control panel builders. It prices boards from the single-line diagram and load list and orders air circuit breakers and variable frequency drives against supplier lead times. It follows each cabinet through busbar fabrication, ferruling, insulation resistance readings and the functional test, with every step signed on the panel record. Every board ships with as-built drawings, rating plate details and a test report, all pulled from the same record the bay worked from.

At a glance

An order arrives as a single-line diagram, a load list and a consultant’s specification. You size the enclosure and copper busbar, price moulded case breakers, contactors, soft starters and relays, and send a general arrangement drawing for approval. Revision C is not revision B. Parts are bought against whichever one the customer signed, and a large air circuit breaker or drive often sets the delivery date.

In the bay, mounting plates are drilled and laid out, cables are cut and ferruled, and wires are numbered from the schematic. Every board then gets an insulation resistance check and a functional run, and some face a witnessed factory acceptance test. It ships with a test report, a rating plate and the as-built set. Months later, a call about a tripped drive needs the exact wiring that left your door, down to the terminal strip and ferrule number.

How the work runs today

The design office releases schematic revision D while the store is still kitting parts for revision C, and the wiring team has started on the old print. The purchase desk chases a drive that is running late. The wiring team asks which DIN rail terminal variant was approved. Nobody is sure. Somebody digs the answer out of an email thread.

At the end of a build, the test engineer fills a paper sheet with insulation readings and relay trip settings, photographs it and sends the picture to the customer. The office then hunts for that photograph at invoice time, and again when a warranty query lands months later. It is slow work. A customer waiting on a certificate before a commissioning date does not find it funny.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for control panel manufacturers without a proper system.

Drawing revisions drift from the shop floor

Schematics are revised after the consultant’s comments, yet the wiring team may still hold the earlier print on the bench, because nobody collected it when the new sheet was issued. The board is wired to the wrong revision. It surfaces at the megger test and goes back to the bay.

Component lists are rebuilt for every panel

Breakers, contactors, thermal overload relays, DIN rail terminals, ferrules and drives are listed in a spreadsheet per job, and each copy drifts. Substitutions made at the counter are not written back. The as-built list then differs from the drawing that was approved.

Lead times are known to one buyer

Which variable frequency drive, soft starter or air circuit breaker is late sits in one buyer’s inbox. Nobody else sees it. The project manager learns of it when the customer calls about the dispatch date.

Test results live on loose sheets

Insulation resistance readings, relay trip settings and witnessed test signatures are on paper or in phone photographs. Finding them for a warranty claim means searching folders. It rarely goes well.

Panel serials and nameplates are not linked

Rating plate details such as rated current, short-circuit withstand and serial are typed separately from the drawing set. A service engineer on site cannot tell which as-built folder belongs to which cabinet.

What the software does

What we would build for control panel manufacturers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Enquiry pricing from load lists

Price a board from the load list and single-line diagram using your rates for enclosures, copper busbar and breakers.

Drawing revision control

Hold each general arrangement and schematic revision with the consultant’s approval status and comments.

Panel component lists

Keep the bill of components per panel, with counter substitutions recorded so it matches what was fitted.

Procurement against lead times

Order drives and air circuit breakers by panel and see which late item holds which delivery.

Build, wiring and test records

Track each cabinet through fabrication, plate mounting, wiring and test, with insulation readings kept on the panel record.

Dispatch and as-built set

Release the as-built drawings, test sheet and rating plate details with the delivery note.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions control panel manufacturers ask before they call.

Can the software tell which drawing revision a panel was wired to?

Yes. The panel record stores the revision released to the bay and the customer’s approval. Before dispatch, the as-built set is checked against that revision, so a cabinet wired to an older print is caught at the door rather than at commissioning.

Does it handle drives and breakers that arrive late?

Component orders carry a promised date per panel. Late drives, soft starters and breakers are listed by the board they hold up. The project manager can warn the customer before the dispatch date slips.

Where do witnessed factory acceptance test results go?

The test engineer enters insulation readings, interlock checks and relay settings on the panel record, and the customer’s witness is noted. Pass limits and sheet layouts follow your test procedure. The witness name can sit beside each reading shown to the customer.

How is a first look at the system arranged?

Send us a recent panel job and we will walk through one of your own recent panels on screen before anything is priced or promised. Pricing is sent in writing once we know who will log in and which parts of the system you need.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
