Manufacturing · Software for engineering plastics processors

Link every stock shape, grade certificate and machined part to the job it served.

An engineering plastics processor cuts and machines parts from nylon, acetal, PTFE, PEEK and similar stock shapes, and moulds technical grades for demanding duties. The software for engineering plastics processors records the grade, the material certificate, the stock shape and offcut, the machining routing and the inspection result, and ties them to each customer part.

At a glance

Engineering plastics are bought by grade, and the grade matters. A bush in the wrong nylon, or a seal in a filled PTFE when virgin was asked for, can look identical on the bench and fail in service.

Management software for engineering plastics processors keeps the grade, the certificate and the offcut with the job. Tell us which nylon, acetal and PEEK grades you cut, in what rod, sheet and tube sizes, and the job records follow those machining routings.

How the work runs today

A maintenance buyer or an equipment maker asks for gears, bushes, wear strips, insulators or seals, with a drawing and a grade such as nylon, acetal, PTFE or PEEK. You price from the stock shape needed, whether rod, sheet or tube, the machining time and the offcut that will be left. Material arrives with a certificate naming grade and lot, and that paper must stay joined to every blank cut from the bar, or the trail is gone.

The shop cuts blanks, turns and mills them on CNC machines, and sometimes anneals the part to relieve stress. Plastic keeps moving after it leaves the machine. Dimensions are measured once the part has settled. Offcuts return to a rack. Some jobs move to a mould for volume, with technical grades dried before use. Finished parts are bagged, labelled and shipped.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for engineering plastics processors without a proper system.

Grade identity is lost on the rack

Rods of similar colour sit side by side. Without a record linking each bar to its grade and certificate, a wrong material can be cut.

Offcuts have no value on paper

Short lengths and part sheets go back on a shelf with chalk marks. They are rarely used, and new stock is bought for jobs that an offcut could serve.

Certificates are separated from the part

A customer asks for the material test certificate months later. It is filed under the supplier’s invoice, not under the part.

Quotes ignore settling and rework

Plastic moves after machining. Parts remeasured after resting or annealing are sometimes out, and the cost of scrapping them is not in the price.

Moulded and machined jobs run apart

A part that starts as a machined prototype and becomes a moulded volume item has two job histories and two sets of records.

What the software does

What we would build for engineering plastics processors.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Grade and stock shape register

Hold each rod, sheet and tube with its grade, size, supplier lot, certificate and remaining length.

Offcut tracking

Record every offcut with its grade and size, and offer it when a new job could use it.

Machining routing

Store the turning, milling, annealing and finishing steps for each part, with a sheet that follows the job.

Dimensional inspection

Log measurements before and after settling, and hold parts that move out of limit.

Material certificates

Attach the supplier certificate to each lot and print it with the delivery.

Moulded job records

Keep resin grade, drying and mould details for jobs that grow from a machined prototype into a volume run, so history is not split.

Each one is also available on its own, or inside a system built for you.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions engineering plastics processors ask before they call.

Do we need this if we only machine from stock shapes?

Yes, and it suits that case well. Grade, certificate, offcut and routing records sit at the centre of the system, and the moulding side can stay switched off until a job needs it.

Can it price a part with the offcut left over?

A quote can use the full stock shape and credit back the offcut at a value you set. You set the rule at the start.

Can we show a customer the certificate for a part?

Yes. The part is linked to the bar or sheet lot it was cut from, and the supplier’s certificate prints with the delivery note.

What goes into the quote for this?

Your people, your moulding presses and machining centres, and the modules you choose shape the quote. Before any figure arrives, we walk one of your own parts through the screens.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
