Every bar, offcut and certificate tracked from rack to delivery.

Quote a machined part from the stock shape, then log the grade, supplier lot and certificate against every bar issued to the job. Estimators see the offcuts on the rack before they order new stock, so a short part is not cut from a full new bar. Machinists follow a routing sheet. Customers receive the certificate with the delivery.

  • Grades, stock shapes and routings entered the way your shop works them
  • Open jobs, bar stock and certificates migrated
  • Grade and routing alterations done by us when you ask

Engineering Plastics Processor Management Software keeps grades, stock shapes, offcuts, material certificates, machining routings and inspection together for plastics machinists and moulders. Each part keeps its grade, supplier lot and certificate. Offcuts are listed for the next job. Dimensions are recorded before and after the part has settled.

Where it breaks today

What goes wrong before the software.

Rods look alike on the rack

Rods of natural nylon, acetal and PTFE lie together on the rack, and the paper labels peel away. A cut made on the wrong grade is seen only after the part is in service.

Short lengths are bought again

Offcuts and part sheets sit on a rack with chalk marks. Estimators do not know they exist, and full new stock is ordered.

Certificates are filed away from the part

The supplier’s certificate is filed with the invoice. A customer who asks for evidence of grade must wait while someone looks for it.

Parts move after machining

Plastic relaxes and absorbs moisture. A bore that measured in limit at the machine can be out a day later, and quotes rarely allow for it.

Annealing steps are skipped

Stress relief is a routing step that sits in the machinist’s memory. A part sent straight to inspection may distort when it warms.

Prototype and volume jobs are separate

A part first machined and later moulded has two job histories. Learning from the first stays with the machinist.

How it runs

How the work flows through it, step by step.

  1. 1

    Enquiry and quote

A drawing and grade arrive. The estimator picks the stock shape, adds machining time and annealing, and credits the offcut left behind.

  2. 2

    Material issue

A bar, sheet or tube lot is issued to the job with its grade and certificate. Remaining length goes back to stock.

  3. 3

    Machining

The routing sheet lists cutting, turning, milling, drilling and any annealing step. Machinists log each operation as it is done.

  4. 4

    Settling and inspection

Parts rest before final measurement. Results are logged, and a part out of limit is held for rework or scrap.

  5. 5

    Finishing and packing

Parts are deburred, cleaned and bagged by grade. A label names the part, revision and lot.

  6. 6

    Delivery

The delivery note lists parts and attaches the lot certificate. The invoice follows.

Modules

What is inside.

Every module can be switched on, left out or changed to match how your team already works.

Part quotations

Price a machined part from the stock shape, machining time, annealing and finishing, and credit the offcut left behind. Keep each revision.

Grade and stock shape register

List rods, sheets and tubes with grade, size, supplier lot, remaining length and storage position, so a bar is found by what it is.

Offcut tracking

Record the length and grade of every offcut and offer it against new quotes where size and grade fit.

Material certificates

Attach each supplier certificate to its lot, and print it with the delivery for every part cut from that lot.

Machining routing

Define turning, milling, drilling, annealing and finishing steps per part, with a job sheet and operation log.

Shop job scheduling

Load machines and benches by operation, flag jobs waiting for annealing or inspection, and move urgent parts forward.

Settling inspection

Measure parts at the machine and again after resting. Hold those that moved out of limit and record the cause.

Moulded job records

Hold resin grade, drying and mould details for parts that move from prototype machining to volume moulding, under one part number.

Finishing, packing and delivery

Pack by grade with part, revision and lot labels, and issue delivery notes that carry the right certificate.

Orders and invoices

Take orders and call-offs, raise tax invoices in your currency, and list balances by customer.

Solutions inside

The business modules it is built from.

Each one is also available on its own, or inside a system built for you.

  • Estimate/Quotation Management

A quote starts from the stock shape and machining time, then credits back the offcut that will be left on the rack.

  • Batch and Serial Tracking

Every bar, sheet and tube carries its supplier lot and grade, so a finished part can be followed back to the stock it came from.

  • Stock Tracking and Alerts

Offcuts are stored with grade and length, and the estimator is shown any that fit a new quotation before more stock is ordered.

  • Document Management

Supplier certificates are attached to the lot and printed with every delivery of parts cut from it.

  • Work Order Management

A job sheet lists turning, milling, annealing and finishing steps, and each operation is logged by the machinist as it is completed.

  • Quality Control

Measurements at the machine and after resting sit side by side, and a part that moved out of limit is held with its cause.

  • Bill of Materials

Resin grade, drying details and mould reference are listed under the same part number as the machined version, so history carries over.

  • Invoice Management

Call-offs from maintenance buyers become delivery notes and tax invoices in the customer’s currency, with open balances shown by account.

Services

How we would put it in.

Setup, data migration, integrations and anything built on top.

Who uses it

One system, each person sees their part.

For owners

See stock by grade, offcut value, scrap rates by material and jobs awaiting inspection.

For estimators

Find an offcut that fits a quote, price from the stock shape and see earlier quotes for the same part.

For machinists

Open the routing sheet, log operations and note when a part goes to annealing.

For inspectors

Measure before and after settling, hold out-of-limit parts, and print certificates with the delivery.

For stores staff

Receive bars with certificates, issue them to jobs and return offcuts to a named rack position.

Reports

The numbers the owner asks for.

  • Stock by grade, size and remaining length
  • Offcuts held and the quotes that used them
  • Parts out of limit after settling, by grade
  • Lots without a certificate on file
  • Operations pending by machine and bench
  • Jobs moved from machining to moulding
  • Deliveries with certificate references
Good fit

Who this is built for.

  • Machine shops that turn and mill nylon, acetal and PTFE parts
  • Processors working with PEEK, PEI and other high-performance grades
  • Suppliers of wear strips, bushes, gears and insulators
  • Companies that also mould technical grades for volume parts
  • Stockists who cut sheets and rods to size and machine on request
Honest answer

When it is not the right choice.

  • A metal machine shop that occasionally cuts a plastic part can use its existing job records.
  • Companies mainly moulding thin containers or extruding pipes will find Injection Moulding Company Management Software or Plastic Extrusion Company Management Software closer.
Made to fit

Adapted to your business before it goes live.

You are not handed a login and left to it. The product is set up around your records, your people and the tools you already use.

Your grades and shapes

Grades, trade names, rod and sheet sizes and supplier lots take the labels your stores already use.

Routings

Standard steps such as annealing and finishing are saved as templates, so a new part starts from the routing most like it.

Settling rules

The rest period before final measurement, and the limit for each grade, are agreed with your inspectors.

Records brought across

Jobs in progress, bar stock and certificate references are imported before the first bar is issued.

Hosted by GullySystem

Stores, machinists and inspectors all pull the same part records from our servers. Our staff make master data edits on request.

Common questions

Questions owners ask before a demo.

Can it tell which bar a part was cut from?

Yes. Material issued to a job names the supplier lot and bar. The part carries that reference, and the certificate for the lot prints with the delivery.

How are offcuts valued?

You set a credit rule, such as a share of the cost per length. The estimator sees it beside the quote, and the offcut is withdrawn from the rack when used.

Does it record annealing and stress relief?

A routing can include annealing as a step with time and temperature fields. The job cannot reach final inspection until the step is logged.

Can parts be measured twice?

Yes. A part has a measurement at the machine and a second after the rest period. A difference between them is shown to the inspector.

Is moulding included?

It is optional. Resin grade, drying time and mould details can be held for jobs that move to volume, under the same part number as the machined version.

Can we scan certificates in?

Yes. A scanned or photographed certificate is attached to the lot and prints with the delivery that used it.

Can stock and job history be taken out as files?

Stock, offcut lists, job history and balances leave as files, in a layout settled in the quotation before any work begins.

What does the demo cover?

One of your parts goes through a quote with an offcut, a bar issue, a routing, settling inspection and a delivery with its certificate. A proposal follows.

Who looks after it afterwards?

GullySystem staff answer questions and change master data. Stores and inspection staff get a refresher once the first jobs have passed through.
