Keep drawing revision, material certificate and first article report with every machined part.

An aerospace machine shop cuts brackets, fittings, housings and ribs from titanium, aluminium plate and nickel alloy, and every part must be traceable. The software links the drawing revision, the material heat number, the program, the inspection report and each outside process to the work order. A customer’s audit then reads one file per lot.

At a glance

Aerospace parts are machined in small lots to tight tolerances, and each lot ships with paper that proves what it is made from and how it was checked. A missing certificate can hold up a finished batch. Every dimension may be good.

This software holds that paper beside the work. Drawing revision, heat number, program, first article report, process certificates and final inspection sit on one record per lot. The quality manager answers a query from a screen.

How the work runs today

A customer sends a purchase order against a drawing at a stated revision, often with a flow-down of special requirements. The estimator prices material, machining hours and outside processes. On release, the planner raises a work order with a routing through roughing, finishing, deburr and inspection, and checks the program matches the current revision.

Plate or bar is issued from stores with its mill certificate and heat number, and the stores clerk notes which pieces came from which cast. At the machine, the first part goes to first article inspection on the coordinate measuring machine, and nothing else is cut until it passes.

Parts then go out for anodising, penetrant testing or heat treatment, and return with certificates that must match the lot. A part that misses a dimension is held. A nonconformance record is opened. Final inspection compiles the data pack. The packing list ships with the lot.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for aerospace CNC part manufacturers without a proper system.

A heat number gets separated from its part

Titanium plate is sawn into blanks and the mill certificate stays in a folder in the office. By the time parts are finished, nobody can say which cast a given bracket came from.

Programs run at the wrong revision

A drawing moves from revision C to D, and the machine still holds the old program on its controller. The first article report is raised against a revision that is no longer current.

Special process paperwork trails behind

Parts go out for anodising or penetrant testing and the certificate comes back days later or not at all. The lot cannot ship.

First article reports are rebuilt by hand

Ballooned drawings, measured values and tolerances are typed into a spreadsheet for each new part. Errors creep in.

Nonconformances stay informal

An oversize bore is discussed at the machine and the part is reworked or scrapped without a record. The gap shows at audit.

What the software does

What we would build for aerospace CNC part manufacturers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Drawing and revision control

Hold each customer drawing with its revision, the programs written for it and the date a revision took effect. A work order can only release against the current one.

Material traceability

Record mill certificate, heat number and cast for each plate or bar issued, and keep it against the parts cut. Blanks sawn from one length carry the same number.

First article inspection

Capture ballooned characteristics, measured values and tolerances for the first part of a lot, and block production until a named inspector has approved it.

Special process tracking

Send parts to anodising, penetrant testing, heat treatment or plating vendors, record the certificate on return and keep a lot from shipping while one is missing.

Nonconformance and concession

Raise a report for each part that misses a dimension, record the disposition as rework, scrap or customer concession, and tie it to the lot and operator.

Data pack and shipment

Assemble certificates, inspection results and the packing list into one pack per lot, ready to send with a delivery.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions aerospace CNC part manufacturers ask before they call.

Can a heat number follow a part through machining?

Yes. Each plate or bar is issued with its certificate and heat number, and blanks cut from it keep that number. The finished lot lists the casts it came from.

Does it hold first article inspection reports?

Yes. Characteristics from the ballooned drawing are entered with measured values, and the lot stays held until an inspector approves them. Your quality manager shapes the inspection report so it looks the way the customer expects.

Can it stop a lot from shipping with a missing certificate?

Yes. Each outside process is listed on the work order, and the lot cannot be marked complete while one certificate is outstanding. An inspector from your own team decides how strict this block should be.

Will this software by itself earn us a quality certificate?

No. It keeps the records your quality system asks for. The checks it enforces come from your quality system and the purchase order terms your customers send.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
