Manufacturing · Software for roofing material manufacturers

Match every roofing sheet to its coil, gauge, profile and the length the roof needed.

A roofing sheet plant buys coated steel coil, slits it, roll-forms it into profiles and cuts it to the lengths each roof needs, with ridge caps and flashings to match. The roofing material software tracks coil, yield and cut lists.

At a glance

A roof is ordered as a list of sheet lengths, not as a quantity of metal. Every length matters. The plant cuts each sheet to measure, packs them in bundles by length, and ships ridge caps, flashings and fasteners alongside.

Production tracking for roofing sheet makers begins with the coil and ends with the bundle label. Each coil carries its gauge, coating and colour, and every sheet cut from it traces back. Offcuts and scrap are counted, because yield per coil decides margin.

How the work runs today

A project order arrives as a cut list: so many sheets at each length, in a profile and colour, plus ridge, valley and wall flashings. The planner groups orders by coil and profile so that the roll-forming line changes over as rarely as possible. The store issues coils of the right gauge and coating, and the operator threads one onto the decoiler.

The line forms and cuts sheets at set lengths. Operators check thickness, cover width and rib height on the first sheets. Bundles are strapped, labelled and stacked by order. Flashings come off a press brake and fasteners are added from stock. Trucks load long sheets on racks with the bundles in the order they will be used.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for roofing material manufacturers without a proper system.

Coil yield is a guess

Metal is bought by weight and sold by sheet length. Offcuts, test pieces and end scrap vary by order, and nobody knows what each coil really gave. Margin hides in that gap.

Cut lists are copied by hand

A project sends fifty lengths on a message or a drawing. One mistyped length means a bundle that fits no rafter.

Coil gauge and coating are mixed up

Two coils look the same on the rack, but one is thinner or has a different coating class. The wrong coil reaches the line before anyone checks.

Colour batches do not match

Coated coil comes in colour lots. A second order for the same roof arrives from a different coil and the ridge does not match the slope. The roof shows it.

Accessories go out incomplete

Ridge caps, flashings, screws and washers are packed separately from the sheets. The crew finds the shortage on the roof.

What the software does

What we would build for roofing material manufacturers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Coil receiving and stock

Receive each coil with its weight, gauge, width, coating and colour lot, and show weight remaining as sheets are cut from it.

Cut list and bundle plan

Hold each project as a list of lengths by profile and colour, and group them by coil to reduce changeovers on the line.

Roll forming and cutting log

Record sheets formed per coil, setting, length checks and scrap, so the yield of every coil is known when it is finished.

Flashing and accessory production

Make ridge caps, valleys and wall flashings from a press brake order, and pick fasteners and sealants to go with each project.

Bundle labels and loading

Label each bundle with project, length, count and colour lot, and build the truck list so the first sheets needed are loaded last.

Contractor orders and accounts

Quote by sheet length and profile, track deliveries to each roofing contractor, and show balances oldest first.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions roofing material manufacturers ask before they call.

We make metal sheets. Does it fit other roofing materials?

This page and its product describe profiled sheet plants working from coil. A maker of clay, concrete or bituminous roofing has different processes, and the screens are set up for those during implementation.

Can it calculate how much coil an order needs?

Yes. The cut list, sheet width and profile give the length and weight of coil needed, with an allowance for end scrap that you set.

How does it track coil colours?

Each coil is received with its colour lot, and every cut sheet carries the lot to its bundle label. A repeat order can ask for the same lot.

Can accessories be added to the same order?

Yes. Ridge caps, flashings, fasteners and sealants sit on the same project order, so the truck list shows sheets and accessories together.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
