Manufacturing · Software for electrical equipment manufacturers

Follow every panel and transformer order from drawing approval through testing, dispatch and final payment.

Electrical equipment manufacturers build LT and HT panels, switchgear, distribution transformers and busducts to order for utilities, EPC contractors and factories. Each order carries a drawing approval, bought-out components, stage and final testing, an inspection call and a long payment tail. The software follows one order through its bill of materials, production, test readings and dispatch, and keeps the records a buyer’s inspector asks to see.

At a glance

You make LT panels, MCCs, PCC and APFC panels, HT switchgear, distribution transformers or busducts, mostly against a purchase order with its own specification. Very little is built for stock.

Each order passes through drawing approval, purchase of breakers, relays, copper and steel, fabrication, wiring or winding, testing and an inspection call. Payment arrives in stages. The last instalment waits on commissioning and the guarantee period, which is often the longest stretch of the order.

How the work runs today

An enquiry or tender arrives with a single line diagram, a technical specification and a list of approved makes. Estimation prices the enclosure, busbar copper, bought-out switchgear and labour, and the quote goes back with deviations noted.

Once the order is placed, the GA drawing and wiring diagram go to the customer for approval, sometimes over several rounds. Purchase books breakers and relays with long lead times, sheet metal is cut and powder coated, and the panel is assembled, wired and tested.

The buyer’s inspector or a third party witnesses routine tests before dispatch is cleared. Test reports and serial numbers travel with the invoice.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for electrical equipment manufacturers without a proper system.

Drawing approval stalls unnoticed

A GA drawing sits with the consultant for comments, and purchase cannot book breakers until it returns. No one owns the follow-up.

Bought-out items arrive after the enclosure

Breakers, relays and meters are booked late against a bill of materials kept in Excel. The finished enclosure waits empty.

The wiring bay builds from an old print

Comments on the approved drawing reach the office, but the bay works from the earlier revision. Rework follows at inspection.

Test reports are typed again for each dispatch

Routine test results, serial numbers and component makes are copied into every report from scattered sheets. Mistakes reach the inspector.

The last instalment drifts out of sight

Money held until commissioning and the guarantee period sits in an accountant’s sheet, order by order. Old balances get forgotten.

What the software does

What we would build for electrical equipment manufacturers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Order-wise bill of materials with revisions

Keep the material list for each panel or transformer against the drawing revision, with sub-assemblies such as busbar sets, cores or windings carrying their own lists. A unit built to an older revision stays identifiable.

Shortages turned into purchase orders

Set the bill of materials against stock, raise purchase orders from the shortage list, and receive breakers, relays and copper with an inspection entry.

Job cards through each shop stage

Move every order through sheet metal, busbar, assembly, wiring or winding and testing, with quantity, operator and shift on each card.

Test readings and inspection hold

Record routine test readings against the order and hold it until quality clears it for the buyer’s inspection call.

Powder coating and outside machining

Track enclosures sent for powder coating or parts sent for machining and galvanising, and reconcile what came back against each challan.

Dispatch, invoices and order outstanding

Raise the challan and GST invoice from the closed work order, then read what each buyer still owes against that order.

The business modules electrical equipment manufacturers use most.

Each one is also available on its own, or inside a system built for you.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, Tally reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions electrical equipment manufacturers ask before they call.

Can it prepare our tender bids?

No. Estimates and quotations sit in the system with their revisions. Portal uploads, bid documents and eligibility papers stay with your tender team.

Does it track retention money and bank guarantees?

Not on its own. Buyer outstanding by order is part of the standard product. Retention due dates and guarantee expiry are added as a register during implementation.

Can it print our routine test certificates?

It stores the test readings for each order. The certificate layout your buyers accept is set up as a print format during implementation, so readings are entered once.

Can drawing approval be followed in the system?

Yes, as revisions. The revision is held on the order and the work order. A status for drawings sent to the customer and returned with comments is added where you need it.

What happens in the free technology audit?

We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
