Manufacturing · Software for sCADA system integrators

Follow every SCADA project from tag list and screens to site acceptance and support.

SCADA integrators connect PLCs, RTUs, instruments and servers into a supervisory system for plants, pump stations and utilities. The integrator software holds the tag list, the screens, the communication test and the support record for each site. Licence keys and backups are kept per site, so support starts informed.

At a glance

A SCADA project is mostly detail: thousands of tags, alarm limits, screens and communication links, each of which must be checked against a field device. A wrong address stays hidden until an operator needs the reading. Customers often add instruments, rename areas and move equipment during the build, and the point count that priced the job slowly stops describing the database being delivered.

Integrators then support the system for years, with licence renewals, patches and remote access, and the software links the tag database, the licences and the site history to each project.

How the work runs today

The customer provides a plant description, a process diagram and an instrument list. Engineers build the input and output list, the tag database and the alarm table, then design screens, trends and reports. Servers, workstations and network equipment are specified and ordered. Screens follow the tag list. Every tag in the input and output list must then be traced from a field device through the controller driver to a value on a screen. Each trace is signed off by the engineer who ran it, with the date, so the record shows who proved every point.

Engineers configure drivers for each PLC or RTU, test every point against its source and fix scaling, then a factory acceptance test runs at the office. The system is installed and re-tested on site. Operators are trained, the as-built database is handed over, and a support contract starts, with licence keys and backup copies recorded for each server. Support then runs for years.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for sCADA system integrators without a proper system.

The tag list changes after the quote

The customer adds instruments and renames areas during the project, so the point count that priced the job no longer matches the one being built. Quotes lose their meaning.

Point-to-point tests are on spreadsheets

Each tag needs a signal check from the field to the screen. Results sit in many copies. Nobody knows which tags remain. Progress is guesswork. Tens of thousands of lines are spread across several copies of one workbook, and the engineer who finishes an area cannot tell which tags others have signed off.

Licences and keys are lost between jobs

Software keys, dongles and renewal dates are held by whoever did the install. A server rebuild stops while someone looks. Rebuilds stall.

Remote support lacks the project file

A call comes in about a frozen trend. The engineer needs the site’s version, drivers and last backup, yet all three sit on another person’s drive, so the call starts without them. Calls start cold.

Site work hours overrun

Commissioning in a plant with limited access takes more days than planned, and the overrun is not seen until the invoice stage. Costs surprise everyone.

What the software does

What we would build for sCADA system integrators.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Tag list and point count baseline

Store the input and output list, count points by type, and price changes as the customer’s list grows.

Screen and alarm design tracker

Track each screen, trend and report from request through design to customer comment and approval.

Point-to-point test log

Record each tag’s signal check, scaling and alarm test with tester and date, and list what remains open. Open items per area show at a glance, so nobody re-tests a tag that a colleague has already signed off, and the project manager sees what remains.

Server and hardware register

Keep servers, workstations and network devices per site, with serial numbers, operating system and warranty dates, so a replacement order starts from the exact model in the field.

Software licence and backup register

Hold licence keys, renewal dates and the latest backup of each project file for every site.

Factory and site acceptance

Define test steps, record results and punch items, and capture customer sign-off for both stages.

Support contracts and remote calls

Log calls against the site, with versions and history in view, and bill the contract or the extra visit.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions sCADA system integrators ask before they call.

Can we price a project by point count?

Yes. Points are counted by type and priced from your own rates, and when the customer adds instruments, the change is priced as a revision of the quote.

Does it connect to the SCADA servers?

No. It manages the project and support side. Live plant data stays in the supervisory system you deliver.

How are licence keys protected?

Only the roles you name can open a licence key, and each opening is written to a log that your security staff can read. Storage place and retention follow the scope. Where the customer requires remote access, the connection details are stored with the site and visible only to roles you name, with every view written to the log.

Can we track support across many sites?

Each site has its own record with equipment, versions, backups and call history, so a technician opening a call sees all of it first.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
