Manufacturing · Software for metal fabricators

We quote by the kilo, but we never find out what the job really weighed.

Metal fabricators quote gates, sheds and SS kitchen work by weight, then run jobs on a whiteboard and challans, so actual weight and scrap go uncosted. GullySystem builds job, material and challan tracking for fabrication shops, including laser cutting and powder coating sent outside. It starts with a free technology audit of a recent job.

At a glance

Your shop runs cutting, bending, welding and finishing for builders, factories, restaurants and homeowners, mostly one-off jobs with their own drawing.

Margins depend on weight, labour hours and what you pay outside vendors, and those numbers usually stay on paper.

How the work runs today

An enquiry arrives with a drawing or a site measurement. You estimate weight in MS or SS, add labour, coating and erection, and send a quotation. Once approved, you take an advance and buy sheets, pipes and angles from the steel trader.

The job goes on the whiteboard. Parts go out for laser cutting, bending, galvanising or powder coating on a job work challan, and come back in batches. Welders and helpers are paid daily or per job.

At site the team erects and fixes, clients raise changes, and running bills are raised against stages. Final measurement, retention and balance collection can drag for months.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for metal fabricators without a proper system.

Actual weight never matches the quote

Nobody weighs what was used, so jobs quoted at a good rate quietly lose money.

Job work material is hard to track

Sheets sent for laser cutting and parts sent for powder coating come back short, and the challan book doesn’t say what is still out.

Customer-supplied material gets mixed up

A factory sends its own SS sheets for a job, and they are used on someone else’s order.

Running bills and retention are forgotten

Stage bills go out late, and the retention held by the builder is never followed up.

What the software does

What we would build for metal fabricators.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Weight-based quotation

Quote from sections and sheets by weight, with labour, coating and erection added, saved against the drawing.

Job card per order

Each job’s stages, drawing, material issued and welder hours, updated from the shop floor.

Job work challans

Material sent to laser, galvanising or powder coating vendors, with quantities returned and pending.

Material register

Own and customer-supplied stock kept separately, with scrap recorded by job.

Running bills and retention

Stage-wise bills, amounts certified, retention held and follow-up dates.

Job costing

Actual weight, labour and outside work against the quoted price.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 01

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, Tally reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 02

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 03

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 04

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 05

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions metal fabricators ask before they call.

Can invoices and challans go into Tally?

Yes. Sales invoices, purchase bills and job work challans can post to Tally, with GST and e-way bill details carried across.

Do we need a full ERP for a fabrication shop?

Usually not. Most shops need job cards, challans and job costing, not a large ERP. The free technology audit tells you how much you actually need.

Can welders use it?

The supervisor updates jobs from a phone, with photos of finished stages. Welders need not log in at all.

Will it make e-way bills?

It prepares the details for e-way bills on dispatches and job work movements, and can connect to the e-way bill system through a GST service provider if you want.

What happens in the free technology audit?

We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
