Manufacturing · Software for wooden door manufacturers

Follow every door and frame from the builder’s door schedule to the fixed opening.

A door factory builds from a door schedule: so many openings, each with its own width, height, swing, frame section and finish. The wooden door software holds the schedule, timber moisture, core and skin pressing, mortising, polishing and delivery by floor. Fixing teams record rebates and snags on site.

At a glance

Door orders rarely arrive as a single size. A builder sends a schedule of openings by floor and flat, each with its own swing, frame section, veneer and lock position. The factory seasons timber, makes frames, presses shutters and mortises hardware. A shutter that fits tower A will not always fit tower B.

The software ties every opening on the schedule to its timber moisture reading, its press load and its polish coat, so a fault on site has a traceable cause. It follows each opening from timber receipt to the fitted door and the signed handover. Start by sharing one floor’s schedule.

How the work runs today

Timber arrives by the cubic metre as sawn logs or planks, and the yard records species, size and moisture reading. Boards are stacked for air drying or sent to a kiln, then ripped and planed into frame sections and shutter stiles. Flush doors take a core of block board or finger-jointed strips, with face veneer or laminate pressed on in a hot press.

The schedule decides what is made and in which order. Frames go to routing and rebating, while shutters go to sizing, edge lipping and the lock and hinge mortise, in an order set by door type. Finished doors take sanding and a polish or paint coat, then move to the dispatch bay by floor. Fixers hang them on site. Any gap or rubbing goes onto a snag list.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for wooden door manufacturers without a proper system.

The schedule changes after cutting

A builder revises a floor plan and the opening width changes by a few millimetres, so frames cut to the old schedule sit in the yard. Shutters are pressed to the wrong size.

Moisture is only checked by feel

Planks are stacked and used when someone judges them dry. A door that warps months after fixing leaves no record of the reading taken at cutting. Claims follow.

Press and glue batches are lost

Skins are pressed in batches with different glue lots and press times. Nobody can tell which glue lot or press load produced a face that lifts.

Hardware cuts are repeated

Hinge and lock mortises are marked from a sheet that differs by door type, and a left-hand door routed as a right-hand one is scrapped. Handing is easy to miss.

Doors reach the wrong flat

A pile of doors for one floor is loaded without a door number, so fixers search for an opening on site and swap leaves by hand. Time is lost.

What the software does

What we would build for wooden door manufacturers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Door schedule and opening list

Record each opening with width, height, swing, frame section, finish and hardware, grouped by floor and flat, with revisions kept.

Timber receipt and seasoning

Log timber by species and dimension, moisture readings at receipt and at release, and the stack or kiln it was dried in.

Frame and shutter production

Track frames through ripping, planing and routing, and shutters through core, skin, lipping and sizing against the schedule.

Press and glue batches

Record press loads with glue lot, pressure time and operator, so a delaminated face can be traced to its batch.

Mortise and hardware register

Hold hinge, lock and closer positions for each door type and handing, and mark each door as mortised.

Finishing and polish stages

Log sanding, sealer, polish or paint coats by door, and show which doors are ready for dispatch.

Delivery and fixing by floor

Load by door number and floor, record the fitter’s snags on site and close them with the date and person.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

Common questions

Questions wooden door manufacturers ask before they call.

Can we manage frames and shutters as separate items?

Yes. The frame and the shutter for an opening are linked but made on different routes. The opening is marked complete only when both are finished and polished.

Can moisture readings be recorded?

Yes. Readings are logged at timber receipt, after drying and at release to the shop. A reading outside the limits you set holds the stack until it is rechecked.

Does it support custom sizes for each flat?

It does. Every opening carries its own size, swing and hardware, and the cut list is built from those values rather than from a standard catalogue.

Can fixers update snags from the site?

Yes. A fixer opens the list on a phone, notes a gap, a rub or a damaged leaf with a photo, and the shop sees it the same day. A site without signal syncs later.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
