Manufacturing · Software for hospital furniture manufacturers

Trace every bed frame, mattress and castor set from tube cut to ward delivery.

Hospital furniture shops bend tube, weld frames, coat them, fit motors and castors, and ship to wards by the tender lot. The software ties each bed or trolley to its tube batch, coating run, actuator and test sheet. Tender quantities and delivery drops stay in one place.

At a glance

A hospital bed looks simple until you list its parts. There is steel tube, side rails, a mattress platform, actuators, a hand control, braked castors and a foam mattress. Each part has a supplier, and each supplier has a lot.

Hospital buyers order by tender, often in lots spread over several wards and several months. Manufacturers of ward and theatre furniture need to know which frames, coatings and fittings went to which drop, because a complaint from one ward concerns one set of beds.

How the work runs today

A tender arrives with a schedule of items: fowler beds, semi-fowler beds, bedside lockers, overbed tables, instrument trolleys, examination couches and drip stands. Estimating prices each line from the tube weight, the coating, the fittings and the packing, and the figures are checked against the last similar tender before the quotation leaves. Once the order is confirmed, the planner releases cutting lists to the tube shop and welding jigs to the fabrication bay.

Frames go to pretreatment and powder coating, or to polishing if they are stainless. Assembly fits actuators, rails, castors and mattress platforms, and each fitted part is noted against the frame serial before the bed moves to final inspection. Nothing ships unchecked. Quality staff check weld finish, load tests on rails and platform, castor brake action and coating thickness. Finished beds are packed by ward and shipped with a delivery note per drop. Spare castors and hand controls follow later on request.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for hospital furniture manufacturers without a proper system.

Tender lines carry many item codes

A single tender may list thirty furniture lines, each with its own colour, size and fitting. Quantities are tracked in a spreadsheet separate from the shop floor. Mistakes creep in.

Frames and actuators lose their link

Once a welded frame is coated and assembled, nobody can say which actuator or which tube batch went into which bed.

Coating runs are not tied to beds

Powder coat colour and cure records sit on the oven log, while the beds sit in a different file. When a ward reports flaking paint on a bed rail, nobody can say which oven batch coated it.

Part deliveries arrive by ward

Wards ask for drops on different dates, so the packing list for one ward is built by hand from several work orders.

Spares after sale are quoted blind

A ward asks for a replacement hand control or castor set, and the office does not know which model was supplied there.

What the software does

What we would build for hospital furniture manufacturers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Tender schedules and quotations

Price every line of a hospital tender from tube weight, coating, actuators, castors and mattress, then keep each revision. Old quotes stay readable.

Cutting lists and frame jigs

Release tube cutting lists and weld jig numbers per bed model, with the bill of materials behind them.

Coating and finish records

Link each powder coat or polish run to the frames in it, with colour code, cure and thickness readings.

Assembly and load checks

Record actuator, rail, castor and mattress fitting per serial, and the load and brake checks done before packing.

Ward-wise packing and delivery

Build packing lists per ward drop from the confirmed order, and print a delivery note per drop.

Spares and warranty by serial

Hold a serial for each bed, so a replacement hand control or castor set is quoted against what was supplied.

Common questions

Questions hospital furniture manufacturers ask before they call.

Can one tender be split into ward drops?

Yes. The tender is entered once with all its lines, and each delivery to a ward is planned and packed as its own drop with its own note. Drops stay separate.

Do we need a serial on every bed?

Not on every item. Beds, couches and large trolleys can carry a serial, while small items such as drip stands may be tracked by lot. You decide the line during set-up.

How do you price a tender line?

Rates for tube, sheet, coating, actuators and castors are kept by you, so a line is costed from your own figures and the revision history is kept.

Will the software cover hospital quality rules?

Your quality team and the tender conditions of your hospital buyers decide which checks and records exist. The software holds what you decide to record and does not certify anything.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
