Manufacturing · Software for aluminium die casting companies

Follow each casting from alloy ingot to shot, trim and leak test.

Aluminium die casters melt alloy, inject it into steel dies, trim the shot and machine the casting. Die casting software holds the alloy lot and melt check, die shot counts, trim press yield, porosity findings and leak test results against every casting number.

At a glance

A die casting cell is fast and unforgiving. A furnace holds molten alloy, a machine fires it into a steel die in seconds, and a trim press removes runners and overflows. A hundred castings an hour leave the cell. Small shifts in die temperature, spray or metal quality show up as porosity or cold shuts.

Aluminium die casting company software records the melt, the die and the shot count beside each lot. The quality room, the toolroom and the machining line read the same casting record.

How the work runs today

A customer releases a weekly call-off for housings, covers and brackets. The planner books a machine of the right tonnage, a die from the rack and an alloy lot, and checks that the die has not passed its shot limit. The furnace crew melts ingot with returned runners, degasses, skims and takes a sample for chemistry. A casting machine is warmed with trial shots until the die is stable.

Once running, the operator sprays the die, extracts the shot and drops it to the trim press. Runners, biscuits and overflows go back to the remelt. Inspectors check dimensions, look for porosity and send samples for X-ray. Many castings go on to a machining line, a deburring bay, impregnation or a pressure test. Each step is signed on a route card. Passed castings are counted into crates.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for aluminium die casting companies without a proper system.

Alloy lots mix in the furnace

Fresh ingot and returned runners are charged together into one furnace. When a casting fails chemistry, the lot that fed that melt is unclear, and every casting from the shift comes under doubt.

Die life is counted on a tag

Shots run on a die decide when it needs a clean, a polish or a repair. The tag is updated at changeover, but a die pulled off the machine in a hurry keeps yesterday’s count and nobody notices until it cracks.

Porosity is found late

X-ray and leak tests happen after machining. A bad lot has already used many hours on the cutting line before anyone knows.

Remelt returns are not weighed

Runners, biscuits and scrap go back to the furnace in tubs that nobody weighs on the way. Yield per casting cannot be worked out, so melt loss is guessed at month end.

Route cards are paper

Trim, machining, impregnation, deburring and leak test steps are all ticked by hand on a single paper sheet, one line per operation, by whoever happens to hold the pen. The sheet follows the crate. It often goes missing.

What the software does

What we would build for aluminium die casting companies.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Alloy lot and melt record

Record ingot lots, returned scrap, degassing and the chemistry sample for each melt, and tie them to the shots cast.

Die register and shot counts

Count shots per die, log cleans, polishing and repairs, and flag a die before it passes its limit.

Shot and cell log

Save machine, die temperature, spray settings and the good and bad shots for each run.

Trim and remelt yield

Weigh castings, runners and overflows, and show yield per part and per melt.

Porosity, X-ray and leak test

Enter what the sample shows, the X-ray grade and the leak result, and stop any lot that fails from moving on to machining.

Route cards to machining and dispatch

Follow each crate through trim, deburring, machining and impregnation, and print labels and delivery notes.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions aluminium die casting companies ask before they call.

Does it follow castings through machining?

Yes. A route card lists each step after casting with quantity in, quantity out and rejects. The same record is kept even when machining is done outside.

Can die shots be counted per machine?

Yes. The cell log records shots per run, and the die register adds them up, so the toolroom sees the running total since the last repair without counting tags.

Can it record X-ray and leak tests?

Yes. Findings are entered with sample number and result and tied to the casting lot. The test equipment itself is not controlled.

How is remelt handled?

Runners, biscuits and scrap are weighed on return. The system shows the yield for each casting number and for the melt.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
