Manufacturing · Software for silicone component manufacturers

Follow each silicone part from material lot to post-cure oven and pack.

Silicone parts are moulded, trimmed, cured again and counted into clean bags. Silicone component software holds the material lot, the tool and cavity, the post-cure load and the hardness check against every part number, with the customer’s drawing revision beside them.

At a glance

Silicone work is quiet and exacting. A two-part liquid kit, a gum stock or a colour masterbatch goes into a tool, and a gasket, a seal, a keypad or a tube comes out. Tiny changes in cure, hardness or cleanliness decide whether the buyer accepts the part, and the buyer may ask about it months after the carton has been delivered and opened. The paperwork must follow. It rarely does.

Silicone component manufacturer software puts the lot, the mould, the press and the oven on one job record. Buyers in food, medical and electronics ask where a part came from. Send us your tool list, oven schedule and part numbers, and each lot gets traced from the first kit to the final carton.

How the work runs today

An order arrives with a drawing, a Shore hardness, a colour and a lot size. The planner picks the tool, checks that the cavity inserts are clean and that the liquid kit or gum stock is in date, and books a press. The operator sets temperature and cure time, runs a first-off piece and walks it to the lab bench for a hardness reading and a dimensional check against the drawing. Only then does the run begin.

Moulded parts go to a trimming bench or a cryogenic deflasher. Next comes the post-cure oven, where trays are loaded by lot and held for a set time. Inspectors count visible flash, tears and short fills under a bright light, and they note which cavity each faulty piece came from whenever the tray allows it. Counting is slow. Parts are bagged in a clean area, labelled with lot and quantity, and boxed against the delivery note.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for silicone component manufacturers without a proper system.

Kits expire unnoticed

Two-part liquid kits and gum stock carry a shelf life. A mixed pallet sits in the store and the oldest kit is not always the first one used.

Cavity wear is not counted

A tool has many cavities, and one of them starts to short fill or tear. Nobody knows how many shots it has run since the last clean.

Post-cure trays lose their identity

Trays from three part numbers go into the same oven. The label on the tray is a marker pen note that fades.

Colour and hardness drift between lots

A repeat order must match the earlier batch. The old first-off sample and its hardness reading are in a drawer.

Clean packing is hard to prove

Customers ask which operator bagged a lot and in which area. The answer sits on a paper log that is filed by month.

What the software does

What we would build for silicone component manufacturers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Material lot and shelf life register

Hold each kit, gum stock and masterbatch lot with its expiry date, and show the planner the oldest usable lot first.

Tool and cavity log

Count shots per tool and per cavity, note cleans and repairs, and warn before a tool is due for maintenance.

First-off and hardness records

Save the first-off approval, the Shore reading and the colour check against each press run, with the sample reference.

Post-cure oven loads

Record oven, temperature, time and the trays loaded, so a part lot leads to the load it was cured in.

Flash and defect inspection

Count short fills, tears and flash by cavity and cause, and see which tool or lot produces the most rejects.

Bagging, labelling and dispatch

Print lot labels, record the packing area and operator, and tie cartons to the delivery note.

Common questions

Questions silicone component manufacturers ask before they call.

Does it handle both liquid and solid silicone?

Yes. Two-part liquid kits and gum stock are both held as material lots. Mix ratios and preform weights are noted per part during set-up.

Can we trace a part back to its post-cure load?

Yes. The part lot carries the oven load it was cured in, with temperature and time. A buyer’s question about one carton can be answered from the load.

Can cleanroom packing be recorded?

The packing step records area, operator and time. What counts as clean is for your quality lead to define, and the record simply shows who packed what, where and when.

Do tools with many cavities work?

Yes. Each cavity is tracked on its own, so a worn cavity can be blocked or repaired without blaming the whole tool.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
