The showroom promised delivery in three weeks, and the factory heard about the order last Friday.
Furniture manufacturers take orders at a showroom or from interior designers, then build them from drawings sent on WhatsApp, so orders reach the floor late. GullySystem adapts its furniture showroom management software and adds the factory side, from cutting list to delivery. It starts with a free technology audit of one order’s path.
You make sofas, beds, wardrobes and office furniture, some as standard models for your showroom and dealers, many made to order with the customer’s size, fabric and finish.
Every made-to-order piece is a small project, with its own drawing, material list and delivery promise.
An order comes from the showroom, an interior designer or an office project. Someone draws it, lists board, laminate, edge band, hinges, channels and fabric, and takes an advance. The drawing and order go to the factory on WhatsApp.
The supervisor plans cutting, gives carpenters their jobs and sends pieces out for polishing or upholstery on a job work challan. Plywood and hardware are bought when the store keeper says they are short.
Finished pieces are checked, packed and sent with an invoice and delivery challan. The installation team fits them at site, and the balance is collected after the customer’s complaints are fixed.
What goes wrong for furniture manufacturers without a proper system.
Orders reach the factory late
The showroom’s order book and the factory register are separate, and nobody owns the gap.
Material is short when cutting starts
Nobody built a BOM for the order, so the 18 mm board or soft-close hinges run out halfway.
Job work pieces go missing
Tops sent for polish and frames sent for upholstery return in parts, and the challan book doesn’t show what is still out.
We don’t know if a custom order made money
Board, hardware, labour and polish are never costed per order, so pricing is guessed.
What we would build for furniture manufacturers.
Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.
Showroom orders to factory work orders
Orders booked in the showroom software become factory work orders, with the drawing, size and finish attached.
BOM and cutting list
Board, laminate, edge band and hardware per order, with the cutting list printed for the panel saw.
Job work challans
Pieces sent for polish or upholstery, returns recorded, and pending pieces listed by vendor.
Stock of boards and hardware
Stock by thickness, brand and item, reserved against orders and reordered when low.
Delivery and installation schedule
Dispatch dates, installation team and site complaints, per order.
Order costing
Actual material and labour against the quoted price for each order.

Is your furniture showroom software enough for a factory?
It covers the showroom side: stock, quotes, orders and deliveries. For a factory we adapt it and add work orders, BOMs and job work, which is what the audit scopes first.
Will it work with Tally?
Yes. Sales invoices, purchases and job work entries can post to Tally, so GST filing stays with your accountant.
Should we buy a ready manufacturing ERP instead?
If most of your output is standard models, a ready ERP may fit well. Custom work pays off when most orders are made to size and your showroom and factory need to share one order.
Can the supervisor use it on the floor?
Yes. Work orders and cutting lists open on a phone, and the supervisor marks stages done with a tap and a photo.
What happens in the free technology audit?
We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.
How much will the software cost?
We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
