Manufacturing · Software for agricultural pump manufacturers

Trace every irrigation pump from casting lot to test-bench curve and dealer warranty.

An agricultural pump plant builds monoblock, centrifugal and submersible sets that farmers run for months without a break. The software ties each casting lot, motor winding and mechanical seal to the pump that carries its serial number. Bench test readings for head and discharge are kept against that serial, and dealer warranty claims trace back to them.

At a glance

Irrigation pumps are bought in a rush before sowing. They are judged when the field is dry. Castings come in from a foundry, motors are wound or bought in, and the set is assembled and run on a test bench before it is crated for a dealer.

This software gives the plant one record per pump serial. It links the casing and impeller lot, the shaft, the seal, the motor and the bench curve, so a claim from a farmer’s village can be read against what left the shop.

How the work runs today

Dealers book by model. The planner turns them into build plans for monoblock, borewell submersible and open-well sets. Casing and impeller castings arrive from the foundry in lots, and the inspector checks wall thickness and porosity on a sample from each lot before the stores accept it. Stampings for motor cores and copper wire are drawn from stores for the winding line.

On assembly, a fitter fixes the impeller on the shaft, seats the mechanical seal and bolts the motor. Each set goes to the bench, where head, discharge and current are read at set points. A pump that falls short of its curve is stripped and rebuilt, and the reading that failed is written against its serial before the set goes back on the bench. Passed sets are painted, crated and sent off. A packing list goes with each.

After the sale, warranty claims come back through dealers with a burnt winding, a worn seal or a cracked casing. The service team opens the pump. It finds the cause. The fault is the part, the build or the field.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for agricultural pump manufacturers without a proper system.

Casting lots are lost on the floor

Casings and impellers from different foundry lots are binned together. When a casing leaks at the flange, nobody can name the lot or the pour it came from.

Bench readings sit on loose sheets

Head, discharge and amps are written on a test sheet and filed by date, so finding the curve of one serial a year later means turning over a whole stack of paper. It is slow.

Motor winding stock is guessed

Enamelled copper wire, core stampings and capacitors are shared across several horsepower ratings, and the winding line stands idle on the day a gauge of wire runs out. Nobody saw it coming.

Warranty claims arrive without history

A dealer sends back a pump with a burnt winding. The plant cannot tell which seal, which motor lot or which bench result went with that serial, so the claim is argued from memory.

Seasonal demand overruns the plan

Orders pile up fast. Models are scheduled by habit, so slow sizes get built while a popular two-horsepower set is out of stock.

What the software does

What we would build for agricultural pump manufacturers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Casting lot receipt

Log each foundry lot of casings and impellers with pattern number, pour reference and inspection result. Hold a rejected lot apart so it cannot reach assembly.

Motor winding line

Record wire gauge issued, turns, winding resistance and insulation test per motor. A motor is tied to the pump serial it is fitted to.

Assembly and serial numbering

Give each set a serial at assembly and list the casing lot, impeller, shaft, seal and motor that went in. A rebuild adds a line and keeps the old one.

Bench test curve

Enter head, discharge, power input and efficiency at each test point, and compare them with the model’s stated curve. A set that misses is routed back to the fitter.

Dealer orders and season plan

Hold dealer orders by model and horsepower and set build quantities ahead of the sowing rush. See which sizes are short against open orders.

Warranty claim register

Log each returned pump against its serial, record the teardown finding and mark the cause as part, assembly or field use. Seal and winding failures roll up by lot.

Common questions

Questions agricultural pump manufacturers ask before they call.

Can we record test-bench readings for every pump?

Yes. Head, discharge, current and power input are entered at each test point against the pump serial. Your test engineer decides which readings each model must meet, and those are entered as the pass rule.

Does it handle both monoblock and submersible models?

Yes. Each model carries its own build list, so a borewell set with its stage stack differs from a surface monoblock. Variants by horsepower and head are kept apart.

Can a warranty claim be traced to a casting lot?

Yes, where the lot was recorded at assembly. A returned serial opens the casing, impeller, seal and motor that went into it, and failures can then be grouped by lot.

What happens to the records we already keep on sheets?

Pump model lists, dealer names and orders still on the books go in on day one. Old bench sheets can be scanned and attached to a serial if you want them within reach. The scope is settled before work starts.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
