Manufacturing · Software for suspension component manufacturers

Keep spring rates, weld records and coating results with each suspension part shipped.

Suspension component makers coil springs, press and weld control arms, bond rubber bushes and finish stabiliser bars, then deliver them to vehicle makers and the aftermarket. This software holds wire and steel lots, spring load tests, weld checks, coating results and the carton shipped. A complaint about a sagging spring or a loose arm can be traced to its lot.

At a glance

A coil spring is wound from wire, heat treated, shot peened, preset and painted. A control arm is cut, pressed, welded, bushed and coated. Each route has its own tests. Each result belongs to a lot that the customer may ask about years later, long after the rack has gone.

Suspension component software keeps those results next to the lot. Spring rate, free height, weld inspection and coating thickness are filed where the planner, the test room and the dispatcher can all read them.

How the work runs today

A vehicle maker sends call-offs by model and week. Planners convert them into wire coils, steel tube, plate and bushing orders, then load coiling machines, ovens, press lines and weld cells. Spring rate and free height are tested on a sample at set intervals, and load deflection is logged. Peening is checked on a test strip. Strips are kept.

Arms leave the welding fixture to be inspected, then go for electro-coating, usually at an outside process house. Bushes are pressed in. Torque is applied. The assembly is marked. Stabiliser bars are bent, ground at the ends and coated. Everything is counted into racks or carts. It ships with the customer’s label.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for suspension component manufacturers without a proper system.

Wire and tube lots are lost on the floor

Coils of spring wire and bundles of tube arrive with a mill certificate. Once wound, nothing on the part names its coil.

Spring test records sit on a test bench log

Rate, free height and load readings are written down by the tester. The log is dated by shift, but it is not tied to the batch of springs that left the oven that morning.

Weld checks stay on the weld cell

Visual and dimensional checks on arm welds are signed on a sheet at the fixture. That sheet rarely follows the arm to the coating line, the assembly bench or the loading dock.

Coating results arrive late

Arms go to an outside electro-coat line and come back on a delivery note. Thickness or salt-spray results for that load are filed apart from the order.

Rubber bushing batches are not matched to assemblies

Bushes are pressed into arms from several supplier lots. When one lot fails, the assemblies that used it are hard to find, and some have already shipped to the vehicle maker.

What the software does

What we would build for suspension component manufacturers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Wire, tube and plate lots

Book mill certificates and coil or bundle lots at the gate, and carry the lot reference through coiling, bending or pressing until the finished part is counted.

Spring coiling and load tests

Record the machine, wire lot and heat treatment for each batch of springs, with rate, free height and load readings taken from the test bench.

Weld and fixture inspection

Log weld checks, jig used and the operator for each control arm lot, so a joint that fails inspection can be traced to a cell and a day.

Outside coating and finishing

Arms and bars go to the electro-coat house in racks, each with its own dispatch slip. On return, the coater’s certificate is checked against the load.

Bushing and sub-assembly records

Note the rubber bush supplier lot and press-fit torque on each assembly lot, so a faulty bush batch lists every arm it went into.

Customer schedules and dispatch

Hold weekly vehicle maker call-offs by model, and pack to rack or cart counts with labels and a packing list.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions suspension component manufacturers ask before they call.

Can we link a spring to the wire coil?

Yes. The wire lot is booked in at the gate and linked to each batch of springs wound from it. A finished spring lot shows the coil, the machine and the oven load, so nothing is searched for by hand.

Does it cover welded arms and coiled springs together?

Yes. Spring routes and arm routes sit side by side in the order book. Each has its own tests and records, and both can ship together on the same weekly call-off.

How are outside coating loads handled?

Each rack goes out under a slip and is cleared when the coater’s certificate comes back. Anything late or missing a certificate appears on a chase list.

Are test limits set by the software?

No. Your quality and engineering staff decide rate, deflection and thickness limits. Your engineers key each limit against its part number, and the first batch is checked together before go-live.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
