Manufacturing · Software for packaging manufacturers

Paper prices moved again, and half our box quotes are still on last month’s rate.

Packaging manufacturers making corrugated boxes, mono cartons and labels run on Tally, a reel register and paper job cards, so quotes lag paper prices. GullySystem builds costing, job card and stock software around your machines and customers, so wastage and repeat orders are tracked too. It starts with a free technology audit.

At a glance

Your customers are pharma, food, electronics and e-commerce companies who reorder the same box every month and expect it on time.

Each box has its own spec: size, ply, paper GSM and BF, printing and die. The price moves with kraft paper rates.

How the work runs today

An enquiry comes with box dimensions and weight to carry. You work out ply, GSM, BF and sheet size, calculate paper weight and conversion cost, and quote per box. Approved specs live in an Excel sheet or a file.

A purchase order becomes a job card: reels issued by deckle and GSM, corrugation, printing, die-cutting or slotting, stitching or gluing, and bundling. Wastage and extra sheets are rarely recorded.

Boxes go out with an invoice, e-way bill and delivery challan. Customers pay on thirty to ninety days, and reel purchases from paper mills are paid sooner.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for packaging manufacturers without a proper system.

Quotes lag behind paper prices

Kraft rates change often, and old quotes stay live for repeat orders that now lose money.

Reel stock by GSM and deckle is unclear

The register shows weight, but not which reels of which deckle and BF are available for tomorrow’s job.

Wastage is never measured

Trimming, printing setup and rejected sheets add up, but nobody records it per job.

Repeat orders restart from zero

A customer reorders a box from last year, and staff hunt for the spec and die number.

What the software does

What we would build for packaging manufacturers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 01

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, Tally reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 02

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 03

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 04

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 05

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions packaging manufacturers ask before they call.

Will it connect to our Tally?

Yes. Invoices, purchases of reels and job work entries post to Tally, so your accounts stay where they are.

Can it reprice all quotes when paper rates change?

Yes. Update the paper rate, and the software shows the new cost for every active box spec, so you can decide which customers to revise.

Should we buy ready packaging ERP software?

There are ready packaging ERPs, and a larger plant may fit one well. Custom work suits units whose costing, machines or customers don’t fit the standard screens.

Can the floor supervisor enter production?

Yes. Job cards open on a phone or a floor tablet, and the supervisor enters sheets produced and wasted at each stage.

What happens in the free technology audit?

We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
