Fabric went to three fabricators, and nobody can say how many pieces should come back.
Apparel manufacturers cut fabric in-house and send bundles to fabricators on job work challans, with orders tracked in Excel and WhatsApp. GullySystem builds order, cutting and job work tracking for garment units, with size-wise stock and piece-rate wages. It starts with a free technology audit of one order, from fabric to dispatch.
You make shirts, kurtas, T-shirts or uniforms for brands, marketplaces, wholesalers and your own label.
Each order breaks into colours and sizes, and each size passes through several hands before it is packed.
An order comes with styles, colours and a size ratio. You make samples, get approval, and buy fabric and trims. The cutting master lays fabric, cuts bundles by size, and records consumption in a notebook.
Bundles go out to fabricators for stitching, and some to embroidery or washing, each on a job work challan. Tailors on piece rate are paid weekly, and pieces come back in lots with rejections and alterations.
Finished goods are checked, ironed, tagged and packed for dispatch. Marketplace orders bring returns, and wholesalers pay on credit.
What goes wrong for apparel manufacturers without a proper system.
Pieces at fabricators go untracked
The challan book shows fabric sent, not how many pieces of each size should return or are still pending.
Fabric consumption is higher than planned
The cutting master’s marker plan and actual usage differ, and leftover fabric vanishes.
Size-wise stock is unclear
Marketplaces ask for mediums, the godown says it has them, and the count says otherwise.
Piece-rate wages cause disputes
Tailors’ counts are kept on paper, and every Saturday someone argues about the number.

Will job work challans and invoices post to Tally?
Yes. Job work challans, purchase bills and sales invoices can post to Tally with GST, so your accountant does not rebuild them.
Can it connect to Myntra, Amazon or Flipkart?
Where the marketplace offers seller data by API or file export, orders and returns can come in automatically. Otherwise staff upload the order file daily.
Is a ready garment ERP better for us?
For larger export units, a ready garment ERP may fit. Smaller units that work mainly through fabricators often need less, and the free technology audit will show you which.
Can fabricators update their own counts?
Yes, on a simple phone screen where they mark pieces ready by size. Your supervisor confirms counts when the lot arrives.
What happens in the free technology audit?
We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.
How much will the software cost?
We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
