Manufacturing · Software for frozen food manufacturers

Trace every frozen pack from raw lot to pallet position and keep each cold chain reading.

A frozen food plant lives or dies by temperature and by the date on the carton. The frozen food software links raw material lots to freezer runs, records core temperatures and glaze weights, and tracks every pallet through the cold store to the reefer. Withdrawals follow the oldest stock first. Your food safety lead sets the temperature and weight limits each product must meet.

At a glance

Freezing fixes a product in time. Whatever was in the vegetables, the fish or the dough when it entered the tunnel is what the customer eventually cooks. That makes the record made at the plant far more valuable than it is in a plant that ships fresh.

Yet the record is scattered. Receiving notes are on paper at the dock. Freezer temperatures sit in a data logger that someone downloads on Fridays, and pallet positions live in the memory of the cold store lead. A buyer asks which raw lot went into a pack now sitting in a retailer’s warehouse, and the plant needs most of a day to answer.

How the work runs today

Raw material arrives chilled or frozen, is checked for temperature at the dock, and goes to a chiller or straight to the line. Vegetables are washed, cut and blanched. Fish and meat are portioned and glazed. Ready meals are cooked, chilled and portioned into trays. Product then enters a blast freezer or a tunnel freezer that freezes each piece separately, where belt speed and air temperature decide how fast the core reaches the target.

Frozen product is weighed, bagged or cartoned, coded with a lot and a best-before date, and stacked on pallets for the cold store. Orders are picked oldest first, loaded into a reefer, and sent with a temperature record that the customer can read on arrival. Between shifts, the quality lead reviews freezer logs and the glaze weights taken on the checkweigher. A gap in either one holds the pallet.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for frozen food manufacturers without a proper system.

Core temperatures stay on the logger

The freezer log is downloaded weekly and filed. When a customer reports a soft, refrozen pack, the freezer run behind it is a matter of guesswork.

Raw lots are lost at the line

Receiving notes list suppliers and dates, but the line sheet notes only a product name. The origin of an ingredient in a finished carton is a guess.

Pallet positions live in one head

The cold store lead knows which aisle holds which run. When he is away, pickers search rows of identical cartons at minus eighteen.

Glaze and net weights drift

Fish and prawns are sold with a glaze allowance. Under-weights found by a customer’s test are a cost the plant discovers late, after the shipment has left.

Reefer records are left in the cab

The temperature trace from the trailer goes with the driver. A complaint about a thawed pallet arrives, and the plant cannot show the load was cold when it left.

What the software does

What we would build for frozen food manufacturers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Raw material receiving

Record supplier, lot, arrival temperature and condition for each delivery at the dock, and hold the lot until the check is signed.

Freezer run records

Note blast freezer or tunnel settings, belt speed and core temperature readings for each run, linked to the product and the raw lots used.

Glaze and pack weight checks

Capture checkweigher and glaze test results by lot, with limits your quality staff set, and hold any carton run that falls outside them.

Lot coding and best-before dates

Generate a lot code and date for every pack and carton, and print them from the product’s stored shelf life.

Cold store pallet map

Assign each pallet to an aisle, rack and level, with the lot, quantity and age, so the picker walks to the right position.

Oldest-first order picking

Allocate stock to sales orders by earliest expiry, and print a pick list with the pallet positions.

Reefer dispatch records

Attach loading temperature, seal number and trailer temperature trace to each delivery note.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions frozen food manufacturers ask before they call.

Can freezer temperature readings come in automatically?

Yes, where your loggers or controllers can send data. Otherwise a technician types readings on a phone. Each freezer is listed as automatic or typed, so you know which readings arrive by themselves.

Does it show which raw lot went into a carton?

Yes. A lot search runs forward and back, from a supplier delivery to every pallet that carried it, and from a pallet to the raw lots it contains.

Can several cold stores be managed?

Yes. Each store has its own aisles and racks, and a pallet transfer between them is recorded with the date, the temperature and the person who moved it.

Do customers receive a temperature record?

A trailer temperature trace and loading reading can be attached to the delivery note and sent by email. What a customer requires is checked with your sales team.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
