Follow each bed set, towel lot and curtain order from fabric to labelled carton.

Home textile makers produce bed linen, towels, curtains and cushion covers for retailers, hotels and export buyers. Orders are set by set, with labels and carton marks. The home textile product holds designs, fabric lots, set packing and buyer inspection on one order record.

At a glance

A home textile order is a programme. A retailer asks for a bed set in four colours, each made of a fitted sheet, a flat sheet and pillowcases, and each with its own label, barcode and carton mark. A towel buyer cares about weight per dozen, pile and border. Detail rules.

The maker runs weaving or knitting, dyeing or printing, cutting, sewing and packing, sometimes in one compound and sometimes through outside units. The order closes only when every piece of the set is in the same carton. Not before.

How the work runs today

Merchandisers receive a purchase order with design, size, colour and set composition, then book yarn or fabric against it. A lab dip or strike-off is sent to the buyer and approved before bulk dyeing or printing starts. The approval date is written on the order, though the strike-off, the buyer’s comments and the sample photographs usually stay in three different folders on three different desks.

Fabric is inspected on a roll machine, and defects are marked before cutting. Lays follow the set. Sewing lines produce hems, borders and closures, while towel lines handle looping, cutting and stitching of borders. Each section reports pieces made, sets completed and rejects.

Packing is the last and most exacting step. Pieces are folded, bagged with an insert, labelled with the retailer’s barcode and loaded in cartons marked for the shipping line. The buyer’s inspector may draw a sample and refuse the lot. Nothing ships until that is settled. Waiting costs.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for home textile manufacturers without a proper system.

Set composition is checked at packing

A bed set needs a fitted sheet, a flat sheet and pillowcases in the same colour. A missing pillowcase is found at the packing table, long after the fabric was cut.

Approvals are given by email

A lab dip, strike-off or pre-production sample is approved in a message. Weeks later the dye house cannot show which approval governs the bulk.

Towel weights drift

A towel buyer specifies weight per dozen. Pile height, yarn count and loop density move during the run, and the checks are made after the lot is finished.

Labels and cartons carry the wrong data

Retailer barcodes, size labels and carton marks are typed from a purchase order. A wrong digit sends a pallet to the wrong store or holds it at the port.

Outside processes disappear from view

Printing, embroidery or washing is done at another unit. Pieces leave on a slip, and the returned count is set against it only when the month’s accounts are closed.

What the software does

What we would build for home textile manufacturers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Buyer programmes and purchase orders

Hold each programme by design, size and colour, with the set composition, the label rules and the delivery windows that belong to that buyer. A merchandiser reads one page.

Lab dip and sample approvals

Record each dip, strike-off and pre-production sample with its approval date, so bulk work follows the approved shade.

Fabric inspection and cutting

Log defects per roll. Plan lays against the set composition. Track pieces cut by colour and size.

Sewing and towel lines

Capture pieces by section, hems, borders and closures, and towel weight checks by lot, with rework and rejects separated.

Set completion before packing

Show which sets are complete and which piece is short, so the missing item is chased early and the cutting room can add a small lay for exactly that colour and size.

Labels, cartons and buyer inspection

Print retailer labels and carton marks from the order. Record the inspector’s sample result. Shipment waits.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions home textile manufacturers ask before they call.

Does it handle towels as well as bed linen?

Yes. Towel lots carry weight per dozen, pile and border details. Bed linen carries set composition and thread count. Both run under the same order record.

Can it print retailer barcodes on labels?

Yes. Barcodes and label text come from the order, in the layout the retailer sends. A wrong digit becomes a data correction, not a reprint of a whole run.

We also sell to hotels. Is that different?

Slightly. The orders are larger, the sizes are standard and the packing is by carton or bale. The same order, stock and packing records serve them.

How are outside printing and washing units covered?

Every send-out is listed, and whatever comes back is booked against that list. A shortfall shows before the sets are packed.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
