Manufacturing · Software for construction material manufacturers

Link each production batch to its mix, test result, dispatch and dealer account.

Building material manufacturers make blocks, bricks, tiles, precast units, pipes, ready-mix and similar products for contractors and dealers. The software ties each batch to its raw materials, tests, stock and dispatch. Dealer prices, credit limits and vehicle loads are held alongside, so the plant and the sales office work from the same figures.

At a glance

A plant that makes building material sells weight, volume and strength to buyers who rarely see the factory. What reaches the site must match the grade ordered. The paper behind it must say so.

Software for these plants keeps the batch at the centre. Production supervisors record what was mixed, fired or cast. Quality staff record tests. Dispatch loads the vehicles, and the sales office bills dealers and contractors from the same record.

How the work runs today

The sales team takes orders from dealers, contractors and project sites, each with a price list, a credit limit and a delivery address. Orders vary widely in size. Some are a single pallet for a local dealer, and others are many loads over several weeks for a site that is still being built. The planner turns confirmed orders and regular stock lines into a production plan across mixers, moulds, kilns, presses or lines. Stores issues cement, sand, aggregate, clay, additives, glaze or fuel against each batch according to its mix design. Some products need curing, drying or firing before they can be sold. Stock is never the same as the production count.

The quality team takes samples, runs strength, absorption or dimension tests and records the result against the batch. Dispatch weighs vehicles in and out, prints a delivery challan and notes the driver and destination. Gate staff check each load. Accounts raise the tax invoice, track dealer balances and chase overdue amounts. Breakage, returns and short deliveries come back as claims. Each needs a reason and a credit note. At month end the owner wants cost per unit, plant utilisation and dues by dealer in one place, drawn from records that the teams already keep during the day.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for construction material manufacturers without a proper system.

Batches are not linked to tests

A strength or absorption result sits on a lab sheet and the dispatch sits on a challan. When a customer complains, nobody can say which batch the load came from.

Mix and consumption drift apart

The recipe says one quantity of cement or clay and the store issues another. Variance is found at stock-taking, not while the batch is running.

Stock is counted in several states

Wet, curing, fired, graded and saleable units are all counted by hand. Sales promises material that is still in the kiln or the curing yard.

Dealer terms are scattered

Rates, rebates and credit limits for each dealer are held by different people. A load leaves for a dealer who is past his limit.

Dispatch and billing are separate

Weighbridge slips, challans and invoices are written by different people. Quantities billed and quantities delivered differ, and claims follow.

What the software does

What we would build for construction material manufacturers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Orders, price lists and dealer accounts

Take orders from dealers and project sites against their own price list, scheme and credit limit, and see each account’s balance at the moment of booking.

Mix designs and bills of materials

Hold the recipe for each product and grade, and compare what a batch should have used against what stores actually issued.

Production batches and planning

Plan runs by line, mould or kiln from confirmed orders and regular stock, and record each batch with its date, shift and quantity made.

Test results and quality records

Note samples, test results and rejections against each batch, so a load can be traced to the checks it passed.

Raw material and finished stock

Track raw material receipts, issues to batches, and finished stock by state, such as curing, ready and dispatched.

Weighbridge, dispatch and vehicles

Record gross and tare weights, print the delivery challan, and follow each vehicle and driver from plant to site.

Invoices, claims and dealer dues

Raise the tax invoice from the dispatch, record breakage and return claims with credit notes, and show dues by dealer with the oldest first.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, Tally reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions construction material manufacturers ask before they call.

Which kinds of material makers is it for?

Plants that make blocks, bricks, tiles, precast units, pipes, ready-mix and similar products. The recipe, the process stages and the units of sale are set to match what you make.

Can a batch be linked to its test results?

Yes. Each batch carries its raw material issues, the samples taken and the test values recorded. A dispatched load shows the batches it was drawn from.

Does it connect to a weighbridge?

Weights can be entered by the operator. Linking the weighbridge indicator straight to the system is paid integration work, scoped in the first workshop.

Can dealers see their own accounts?

Yes. A dealer can be given a login to see his rates, orders, deliveries and balance. You choose with us which screens the dealer sees.

What happens in the free technology audit?

We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
