Manufacturing · Software for hydraulic component manufacturers

Record each cylinder and valve block from honed bore to tested, clean assembly.

Hydraulic parts work only when bores, spools and seals are fitted to very small tolerances and then proven under pressure. The hydraulic component manufacturer software holds tube and bar lots, honing and lapping records, seal kits, assembly, pressure and cleanliness tests, and serial numbers. Orders and spares stay linked to what was built.

At a glance

Hydraulic makers build cylinders, manifold blocks, valves, pumps and fittings for presses, excavators and machine tools, and buyers return to the same shop for seal kits for years. A cylinder starts as a honed tube, a ground rod, a piston and a seal set, while a valve block starts as a drilled and lapped casting or bar. Everything has to fit to a few microns and then hold pressure. Small errors leak.

Production control for hydraulic shops follows the tube or bar lot, the honing and lapping readings, the seal kit and the test bench result under one serial number. The order carries the part drawings and the pressure each unit must hold, so the bench knows what to prove before a seal is fitted. We start at the bench.

How the work runs today

A machine builder, a mobile equipment maker or a repair shop sends a request naming a cylinder with bore, stroke and rod size, or a manifold with ports. You quote from tube and rod stock, machining, chrome plating, seal kit, assembly and test. Honed tube and plated rod are cut and welded to ends, with the bore checked for roundness and finish before any seal is fitted to the piston or gland. Bores and spools are lapped to size. Microns matter. A spool that sticks in its bore is rejected by the test bench, however good the honing sheet looked on the day it was signed.

Seals are chosen from a kit by bore and rod, and parts are assembled in a clean area where dust cannot reach a honed bore or a lapped spool. Each unit is tested on a bench for proof pressure, leakage and sometimes cleanliness by particle count, with the operator noting the reading on a sheet pinned beside the stand. Painting follows. Ports are plugged, the unit is wrapped and a tag records the serial number for the carrier and the buyer. Spare seal kits and repair requests come back for the same serial years later, usually from a maintenance planner who has only a number stamped on the barrel. Records matter then. The planner wants the seal kit, the rod finish and the test pressure before ordering parts and booking downtime.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for hydraulic component manufacturers without a proper system.

Bore and rod sizes are not paired

Tubes are honed to a size. Rods are ground to another. The pair is matched by memory. A mismatched set reaches the assembly bench.

Plating leaves the shop unrecorded

Rods go for hard chrome in mixed loads, and thickness readings and lot numbers on return are lost once the rods are shelved.

Seal kits are chosen by guess

Kits depend on bore, rod and working temperature. Many part numbers look alike. A wrong kit is fitted when the drawing is not at hand, and the leak shows only at the customer’s machine.

Cleanliness results are not stored

Particle counts and flushing steps are checked at the bench, but the reading is noted without being tied to the serial that was flushed.

Repairs come back without history

A cylinder returns for reseal. Nobody can open what was originally fitted, so the repair starts from a stripped unit.

What the software does

What we would build for hydraulic component manufacturers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Cylinder and block drawing register

Hold bore, stroke, rod, mounting, port and cartridge data for each unit, with drawing revision and bill of parts.

Tube, rod and bar lots

Receive honed tube, ground rod and bar by lot with certificates, and link them to the units built.

Honing, lapping and bore records

Save bore size, roundness, finish and spool clearance readings against each unit.

Seal kit selection

Match seal kits to bore, rod and temperature, and record which kit was fitted to each serial.

Assembly and test bench

Record proof pressure, leakage and cleanliness readings for each serial and hold any unit that fails.

Outside plating and painting

Count rods and units sent for chrome plating or painting, and attach the return reading or note.

Spares and repair history

Keep each serial’s build record, so a reseal order opens the original parts and the test it passed.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions hydraulic component manufacturers ask before they call.

Can a cylinder be traced to its tube and rod lots?

Yes. The serial lists the tube lot, the rod lot and the seal kit. A failure report from the field opens each of them, so the search starts with facts rather than with memory of the build.

Does it store pressure test and cleanliness readings?

Proof pressure, leakage and particle count readings are saved against each serial. The test sheet is printed from them.

Is repair work handled?

Yes. A returned unit is matched to its serial and original build, and the reseal job records what was replaced and which test was repeated.

Is it for shops that only assemble from bought parts?

Yes, an assembly-only shop can use the serial, seal kit and test records without machining routes, which are switched off during set-up. Fewer screens, same history.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
