Manufacturing · Software for rubber gasket manufacturers

Cut, mould or splice each rubber gasket from the right sheet, die and drawing.

Rubber gasket manufacturers cut flat gaskets from sheet, mould rings and extrude profiles that are spliced into frames. The rubber gasket manufacturer software holds each drawing and revision, the sheet material and thickness, the die or cutting program, nesting yield and offcuts against the order. Fluid compatibility notes, customer kits and delivery counts stay with the part number.

At a glance

A rubber gasket shop supplies the flat ring, the full-face gasket, the door seal and the sump gasket. Each sits between two parts. Its job is to keep a fluid or a gas where it belongs. Some are cut from sheets of nitrile, EPDM, neoprene or silicone with steel rule dies, a water jet or a knife cutter. Others are moulded or extruded and joined into loops. Each type needs its own record.

Software for gasket makers links the drawing revision to the material, the cutter and the sheet used. Estimators price by nesting yield, planners batch parts that share a sheet, and stores know which offcuts are still usable before anyone opens a fresh one. Buyers get the right part, in the right count, with the material name on the bag.

How the work runs today

A buyer sends a sketch, a drawing or an old gasket as a pattern. The estimator reads the inside and outside diameter, the bolt hole circle, the thickness and the rubber grade, then checks which fluid or temperature the gasket meets. Every gasket starts as a measurement. The shop prepares a cutting file or a steel rule die, then cuts one trial piece and measures it against the drawing before committing a full sheet.

Sheets come from stock by grade, hardness and thickness, and the operator nests the parts to cut waste before cutting on a press, plotter-knife or water jet. Holes are punched, edges are cleaned and adhesive backing is applied where needed. Extruded profile is cut to length and joined by vulcanising or bonding into a loop. Parts are counted into bags and labelled with part number, material and count. Then the pack goes out.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for rubber gasket manufacturers without a proper system.

Drawings come in many forms

A hand sketch, a photo of an old gasket and a drawing file all arrive for the same part. With no revision on record, a repeat order is cut from whichever copy turns up first, and the buyer sees the difference.

Nesting waste is invisible

Operators nest parts on a sheet by eye, and the offcut goes on a pile. The yield of each job is unknown, so quotes ignore it. Waste is money on a pile.

Sheets of similar grade get mixed

Nitrile, EPDM and neoprene sheets in several hardnesses and thicknesses look alike on the rack. A wrong material is cut because the label has gone.

Dies and programs go astray

Steel rule dies are stored by shelf and cutting programs sit on one operator’s machine, so a repeat order waits while someone looks for them across the whole shop. Time is lost looking.

Kits and counts are packed by hand

A buyer orders a kit of several gasket sizes for a pump or a valve. Packers count the pieces by eye, so a missing one turns up on the customer’s bench.

What the software does

What we would build for rubber gasket manufacturers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Drawings, patterns and revisions

Hold each part’s drawing, photo or pattern with its revision, material and tolerance, so a repeat order cuts the right shape.

Sheet stock by grade and thickness

Receive sheets by rubber grade, hardness, thickness and size, and issue them to jobs with the offcut returned to stock.

Nesting and cutting programs

Store the cutting file or die for each part, record yield per sheet and show which jobs can share a sheet.

Die and tooling register

List steel rule dies and cutting programs by part number, with their location and the number of impressions since last sharpening.

Extruded profile and splicing

Track extruded lengths cut and joined into loops, with the joint method and the inspection result.

Kits and bag counts

Build kits of several gasket sizes from one order, tick each piece into the pack and label it with part and count.

Material notes and delivery

Keep fluid, temperature and compression notes with each part, and print a delivery note naming the material.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions rubber gasket manufacturers ask before they call.

Can it record the nesting yield of a job?

Yes. The sheet area issued and the area of parts cut are entered, and the yield shows against the job. The offcut that remains goes back into stock with its dimensions. Yield shows up straight away.

Does it hold patterns copied from old gaskets?

Yes. A photo or scan of a pattern is stored with the part, and the drawing replaces it when one arrives. Both versions stay on file, so a repeat order can be checked.

Can a kit of mixed gasket sizes be packed from one order?

Yes. The order lists each size, and the packer ticks each piece into the bag. A kit with a missing piece cannot be marked ready. No short kit leaves the bench.

How do we bring over our part numbers and dies?

Your part list, material codes and die shelf positions are brought in from existing sheets, and the cutting shop checks each one. Sample flange and sump gasket orders from your own files are run on screen during set-up, so the cutting shop sees real parts before go-live.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
