Manufacturing Software Views for Owners, Planners and Supervisors

A unit has several people handling one batch, from the enquiry to the lorry. Each person signs in to the screens that part of the batch needs, and no more.

One batch, five roles

Owners

Read open orders, work orders by stage, machine load, rejection by reason, material short for released batches, dispatches made and money due from buyers.

Production planners

Release work orders, read the material list, check stock, sequence batches on machines and move a target week when a buyer changes a schedule.

Shop floor supervisors

See the cards queued at your stage, mark passed and rejected counts, send pieces for rework and raise a hold on a doubtful batch.

Stores and purchase staff

Issue material against a work order, receive supplier deliveries with inspection, send and reconcile job work challans, and watch grades below reorder level.

Accounts and dispatch

Raise challans and GST invoices from completed batches, record payments, and read buyer outstanding by order and by age.

Through a working day

An enquiry arrives with a drawing and the office quotes it. A planner releases a batch against a confirmed order, and the store issues bars and fasteners for it. Supervisors mark the cards as the batch clears each stage. Material leaves for plating in the afternoon and comes back short by a few pieces. At closing, the dispatch clerk loads a lorry against two order lines and prints the challan and the invoice for them.

At month end

The owner reads production made, rejection by stage, material consumed against the material list and job work charges. The accountant reads sales, purchase and stock figures from the same records. Supervisors see what their section put out. A planner compares promised weeks against the weeks actually dispatched, which is the honest test of whether the floor is keeping up with sales.

What the client decides

  • Which roles exist in your unit and who holds them
  • What each role may release, edit, cancel or write off
  • Who may approve a rate, a rejection or a job work loss
  • Whether rates and buyer names are visible on the floor
  • Which machines or sections a supervisor can read
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can a supervisor see buyer rates?

That is settled with the owner. Many units show the floor only part, quantity and date, and keep rates with the office.

Do operators need a computer in the shed?

No. A phone or a shared tablet at the section is enough for marking cards and reading the queue.

Can a second plant be kept separate?

Yes. Each plant holds its own work orders and store, and the owner reads both together.

Who changes what a role can open later?

Our staff edit a role when you ask. The first set of permissions is worked out while the unit is being set up.
