Coil bought in tonnes, sheets sold in metres, flashings and bundles on one record.

Roofing sheet orders, coil receiving, cut lists, roll-forming runs, flashing production, bundle labels, loading and contractor accounts sit in one record. Each sheet traces to the coil, gauge and colour lot behind it, and each coil closes with the yield it gave against the weight bought. Planners, decoiler operators, the store and the sales desk read the same stock. Nobody retypes a cut list.

  • Trapezoidal, corrugated and standing seam profiles, gauges and coatings entered as your catalogue lists them
  • Contractor list, open cut lists and coil stock by colour lot migrated
  • Changes to profiles and flashing shapes made by GullySystem staff when asked

Coil receiving, cut lists, roll-forming runs, flashings, bundle labels and contractor orders share one GullySystem record configured to your profiles, gauges and coatings. Each sheet traces to its coil, gauge and colour lot. Every coil closes with a yield figure in metres sold against tonnes bought. Scrap stays counted.

Where it breaks today

What goes wrong before the software.

Coil is bought by weight and sold by length

Converting tonnes of aluminium-zinc coated or pre-painted coil into finished sheet metres depends on gauge, cover width and coating weight, so the purchase order and the quote speak different units. The margin hides between them.

Yield per coil is not measured

End scrap, test sheets, coil set at the head and offcuts differ by order, yet a coil is closed without anyone weighing metres sold against tonnes bought. Waste stays unmeasured.

Cut lists arrive by message

Lengths for fifty sheets arrive in a message and are typed by hand into the roll former’s controller, where one transposed figure turns a whole bundle into scrap. Nobody notices until the roof goes up.

Colour lots do not repeat

A repeat order for the same roof is cut from another coil lot, and the shade difference shows along the ridge once both slopes catch the sun. Contractors complain loudly.

Offcuts pile up without a record

Usable lengths and true scrap land in the same bin beside the line, so nobody knows which short pieces could cover a lean-to, a canopy or a small order. Good metal is binned.

Ridge caps and screws are packed separately

Ridge caps, valley trays, barge flashings and screws are gathered after the sheets are strapped, and a truck leaves without the one part a roofing crew needs. The crew stands idle.

How it runs

How the work flows through it, step by step.

  1. 1

    Project order

The contractor’s cut list is entered or imported with profile, colour and gauge, while ridge caps, valley trays, closure strips and screws join the same order as the sheets. Revisions stay on file.

  2. 2

    Coil allocation

The planner groups orders by profile and colour and reserves coil, and the system works out the coil length and weight each group needs with your scrap allowance added. Nobody guesses the coil.

  3. 3

    Roll forming and cutting

The operator loads the coil on the decoiler, sets the cut lengths and forms sheets, then checks the first off for thickness, cover width, rib height and camber. A miss stops the run.

  4. 4

    Bent parts and accessories

A press brake order is raised for ridge, valley, apron and barge flashings from the development length of each shape, and rivets, sealant and washers are picked from stock. The blank is booked out.

  5. 5

    Bundling and loading

Bundles are strapped on dunnage and labelled with project, length and colour lot, then loaded in the reverse of the order the crew will fix them. Loading follows the roof.

  6. 6

    Coil close and billing

A finished coil is closed with its yield, the offcuts worth keeping are listed, and delivered sheets and accessories are billed to the contractor. The account updates itself.

Modules

What is inside.

Every module can be switched on, left out or changed to match how your team already works.

Contractor orders and cut lists

Enter or import a cut list by profile, colour and gauge with accessories on the same order, and keep every revision a contractor sends. Lengths are checked against the line.

Coil receiving and stock

Receive coils by weight, width, gauge, coating class and colour lot, then watch the weight left fall as sheets are formed.

Coil allocation and planning

Group orders by profile and colour to cut changeovers on the roll former, and compute coil length and weight with your own scrap allowance. Reserve before cutting.

Roll-forming line log

Record sheets formed per coil, set lengths, first-off checks and scrap by line and operator, so a run can be read back against its cut list. Shifts compare fairly.

Coil yield and offcuts

Close each coil with metres sold against tonnes bought, and list the usable offcuts that could serve a lean-to or another small order. Scrap is weighed.

Flashing and press brake orders

Raise bending jobs for ridge caps, valleys and wall flashings with the development length and sheet blank for each, then send them to the press brake. Counts follow the order.

Fasteners and accessory stock

Track self-drilling screws, washers, sealant, closure strips and rivets, and add the right quantity of each to the project pick list so the truck carries them. Reorder levels warn the store.

Bundle labels and truck lists

Print labels with project, length, count and colour lot, and build the truck list in the reverse order of use. Loaders scan every bundle.

First-off and thickness checks

Record thickness, cover width and rib height on the first sheets of each run and after every coil change, with the micrometer reading beside the limit. A miss holds the run.

Contractor accounts

Each contractor shows sheets lifted, bills raised and the balance still owed. The longest-overdue account sits first, and a payment reminder can be sent from that row.

Solutions inside

The business modules it is built from.

Each one is also available on its own, or inside a system built for you.

  • Estimate/Quotation Management

A contractor’s cut list is priced by length, profile and colour, with ridge caps and screws on the same quote and every revision retained.

  • Goods Receipt (GRN)

Each coil is received with weight, gauge, coating class and colour lot, and the tonnes left fall as sheets are formed on the line.

  • Production Planning

Orders are grouped by profile and colour so the roll former changes over rarely, and coil is reserved before the first sheet is cut.

  • Work Order Management

Each run lists the coil, set lengths and sheets formed, with scrap and operator recorded when the run closes at shift end.

  • Batch and Serial Tracking

Every bundle label carries project, length and colour lot, so a sheet delivered to a roof traces back to the coil it was formed from.

  • Quality Control

Thickness, cover width, rib height and camber are recorded on the first sheets of each run, and a miss holds the run.

  • Barcodes and Labels

Bundle labels print as scannable codes, so loading staff confirm each bundle against the truck list before the truck leaves the yard.

  • Collections and Payment Follow-Up

Contractors with aged invoices appear oldest first, and a reminder goes from the same page once a due date has passed.

Services

How we would put it in.

Setup, data migration, integrations and anything built on top.

Who uses it

One system, each person sees their part.

For owners

Read coil yield, stock by gauge and colour lot, orders to cut and contractor dues from the office without walking the shed.

For planners

Group cut lists by coil and profile, reserve coil against them and see which order the line should form next. Colour changes become fewer.

For line operators

See the cut list for the coil sitting on the decoiler and record sheets formed, first-off checks and scrap as the run goes. Paper stays off the line.

For store and loading crew

Receive coils against the weighbridge ticket, pick screws and flashings against the order, and load bundles in the order the roof will be built. Nothing is left behind.

For the sales desk

Quote by length and profile, confirm colour lots in stock and tell a contractor when the order will leave the yard. Answers come from live stock.

Reports

The numbers the owner asks for.

  • Coil yield in metres per tonne by gauge, colour and operator
  • Sheets formed by roll former, profile and shift
  • Coil stock by gauge, coating class and colour lot
  • Scrap and usable offcuts by order
  • Orders by contractor and delivery date
  • Flashings bent against open orders
  • Contractor dues by age
Good fit

Who this is built for.

  • Plants that roll-form steel and aluminium roofing sheets from coated coil
  • Makers of trapezoidal, corrugated and standing seam profiles
  • Plants that cut sheets to length for each roof, hip and valley
  • Makers who also bend ridge caps, apron and barge flashings on a press brake
  • Producers selling to roofing contractors, builders and shed fabricators
  • Plants that buy aluminium-zinc coated and pre-painted coil in several colours
Honest answer

When it is not the right choice.

  • A workshop that fits sheets bought from others on site will find Roofing Contractor Management Software closer.
  • Makers of clay tiles, concrete tiles or bitumen shingles run different processes and need a different set-up.
Made to fit

Adapted to your business before it goes live.

You are not handed a login and left to it. The product is set up around your records, your people and the tools you already use.

Profiles and gauges

Your profiles, cover widths, rib heights, gauges and coating classes are entered as the catalogue lists them, so a quote speaks the contractor’s language.

Scrap allowance

The end scrap and test sheet allowance used to work out coil need is set by you, and can differ by profile.

Flashing shapes

Standard ridge, valley, apron and wall flashing shapes are loaded with their development lengths and bend counts. Odd shapes are added on request.

Open orders brought across

Contractor lists, open cut lists and coil stock are loaded from the spreadsheets the planner uses today, with colour lots matched to the coils on the rack. Nothing is retyped by hand.

Currency and tax

Prices, currency and tax lines on invoices follow the rules of each country and are reviewed with you during implementation.

Hosted by GullySystem

The planner, the line and the store open one shared coil list on a server we run for you, and every update to the software arrives from us. Nothing sits on a shed PC.

Common questions

Questions owners ask before a demo.

How much coil will a given order need?

From the cut list, profile cover width and gauge, the system sums every sheet length, converts the total to coil length and weight, and adds your scrap allowance. The planner reserves that coil.

What does coil yield tell us?

It compares metres of sheet sold against tonnes of coil bought and closed, so a coil that gives less than your usual points to scrap, setting waste or test sheets. Trends show by operator.

Can cut lists be imported?

Yes. A contractor’s spreadsheet list can be imported, and each length is checked against the minimum and maximum your roll former can cut and stack. Errors show before forming starts.

How are colour lots handled?

Each coil is received with its colour lot, and that lot prints on every bundle label, so a repeat order can ask for the same lot while stock lasts. Otherwise the desk warns the contractor.

Can offcuts be reused?

Usable lengths are listed once a coil closes, and the sales desk can offer them for lean-tos, canopies and other small orders. Scrap is recorded by weight.

Does it cover flashings made on a press brake?

Yes. A bending job lists the shape, development length and count, takes its blank from stock and joins the project truck list. Press brake hours are booked to it.

How is the system shown and priced?

Price follows the number of roll-forming lines and the people who log in, and you first watch a demonstration on a real cut list from one of your contractors. The proposal follows.

Can we take data out later?

Orders, coil histories and balances export to spreadsheets, and the export format is stated in the quotation before any build work starts. Your data stays yours.
