Questions for any vendor
Put these to every supplier you are comparing.
- Is it for new building, repair work or both?
- Will estimates use our own rates?
- Can it track material sent to a site?
- Does it handle stage bills and retention?
- Can foremen use it from site, and does it work without signal?
- Can we record weather delays?
- Can we bring in jobs already running?
- Who owns the data?
- What does it cost?
Where the work usually breaks today
Circle the ones you recognise. They set the order of the project.
- Quantities drift between documents
- Deliveries are not checked
- Weather breaks the schedule
- Subcontractor work is poorly recorded
- Old repair work has no history
