Tick each one that matters to your business.

  • Antenatal booking and visit schedule
  • Labour ward and partogram
  • Delivery note and baby record
  • Theatre list and bed board
  • Delivery packages and final bill
  • Nursery and newborn follow-up

Questions for any vendor

Put these to every supplier you are comparing.

  • Is this for a maternity hospital or a general hospital?
  • How does a baby’s record link to the mother?
  • Can midwives chart a partogram on a tablet?
  • What happens to a package when a caesarean is needed?
  • Can the nursery track phototherapy and jaundice readings?
  • Does it list mothers who skipped antenatal visits?
  • Can we move our antenatal registers across?
  • Does it give clinical advice or flag risks on its own?
  • How do we get our records out later?
  • How is the work priced?

Where the work usually breaks today

Circle the ones you recognise. They set the order of the project.

  • Mother and baby files drift apart
  • Package bills are settled at the last desk
  • Antenatal follow-up depends on the mother’s card
  • Labour ward and theatre run on separate boards
  • Newborn screening and vaccine dates are not recorded in one place
