Healthcare · Software for maternity hospitals

Follow each mother from booking to discharge, and each baby from the first cry to the first vaccine.

Maternity hospitals run antenatal booking, labour ward, theatre, postnatal ward and a newborn unit, and the mother and baby sit in different files. The software keeps the booking, partogram, delivery note, baby record and package bill linked. Stays, packages and follow-up visits sit in one place.

At a glance

A maternity hospital cares for two patients at once. The mother has an antenatal file, a labour record and a postnatal stay. A newborn gets a birth record, a nursery chart and vaccine dates that outlast the admission.

Most hospitals keep these in separate registers, so a baby’s jaundice reading, a mother’s package balance and a scan booked for next week are found by walking between desks. Babies do not wait for the diary.

How the work runs today

The antenatal clinic books booking visits and scans, and the midwife records weight, blood pressure and fundal height at each one. Expected dates are written on a card the mother carries. Packages for normal delivery, caesarean section or a private room are quoted at the first visit and paid in parts.

On the labour ward the midwife charts dilatation, contractions and the baby’s heart rate on a partogram, and the obstetrician decides between a normal delivery and theatre. The delivery note lists the mode, the time, the blood loss and who attended. Weighed and tagged, the newborn goes to the nursery or stays at the mother’s side.

On the postnatal ward nurses chart the mother’s bleeding, pain and feeding, and the paediatrician sees the baby before discharge. A discharge summary, a birth notification and a vaccine card go home with the family. Few hospitals recall them. The six-week check is missed.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for maternity hospitals without a proper system.

Mother and baby files drift apart

A newborn’s notes are opened under the mother’s admission number or a new one. A paediatrician looking up a feeding problem cannot see the labour note that explains it. The notes never meet.

Package bills are settled at the last desk

A normal delivery package becomes a caesarean, a private room is upgraded, and the baby needs the nursery for two days. The final bill is argued on discharge morning.

Antenatal follow-up depends on the mother’s card

If she skips the thirty-two week scan, the gap stays hidden until she walks in already in labour. The expected date is on her card and nowhere else.

Labour ward and theatre run on separate boards

A whiteboard shows who is in labour and a paper list shows the theatre. When a caesarean is called, the anaesthetist and the blood bank are told by phone, one by one.

Newborn screening and vaccine dates are not recorded in one place

Hearing screen, birth dose and the discharge weight are written on separate slips. The first follow-up date depends on which slip the family keeps.

What the software does

What we would build for maternity hospitals.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Antenatal booking and visit schedule

Register the mother with her expected date, record each visit’s readings and scans, and list those who have missed a visit.

Labour ward and partogram

Chart dilatation, contractions and fetal heart readings against time, with each midwife’s entry stamped and the decision to move to theatre noted.

Delivery note and baby record

Write the mode of delivery, time, attendants and blood loss, and open the baby’s record linked to the mother with weight, tag number and first feed.

Theatre list and bed board

Show labour rooms, theatre slots, postnatal beds and nursery cots on one board, with the cleaning status of each room after a delivery.

Delivery packages and final bill

Quote a package by delivery type and room class, record deposits, and add extras such as a stay in the nursery before the discharge bill.

Nursery and newborn follow-up

Chart the baby’s feeds, weight, jaundice readings and screening results, then set the first review and vaccine dates for the family.

Discharge summary and recalls

Print the mother’s and the baby’s summaries, and list the six-week postnatal checks and baby reviews that are due.

The business modules maternity hospitals use most.

Each one is also available on its own, or inside a system built for you.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions maternity hospitals ask before they call.

Does a baby get a separate record from the mother?

Yes. The baby has its own record with birth weight, tag number, feeds and screening, linked to the mother’s delivery note. A twin birth opens two baby records under one delivery.

Can the labour ward chart a partogram in the system?

Yes, as timed entries by the midwife on duty. The chart format, the readings captured and the alert points are agreed with your obstetricians and checked by them before the ward starts using it.

Can we quote a delivery package and change it if a caesarean is needed?

Yes. The quote holds the package by delivery type and room class, and a change of mode moves the package with the old figure kept on record. The finance desk sees every revision.

Does it send birth notifications to the authorities?

Not directly. The delivery note holds the fields your birth registration form requires, and your ward staff approve its layout before it goes into use. Filing stays with the hospital.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
