Healthcare · Software for home physiotherapy providers

Visits, packages and notes, from referral to discharge.

Therapists visit patients who cannot travel after a hip replacement, a stroke or a fall, and the software holds the referral, home assessment, visit route, package and outcome scores. Notes reach the doctor from one record. Nobody retypes a score after discharge.

At a glance

A home physiotherapy provider treats people in their own living rooms, bedrooms and hallways, wherever the recovery has to happen, from the first sit-to-stand to the last walk. Many patients are older. They are recovering from a hip replacement or a stroke, and the therapist carries the equipment and works around sofas, rugs, stairs and family.

Visits, travel and packages are the hard part. A therapist may see six patients in six homes in one day, and each visit needs a note, a score and a payment recorded before the next door opens. Paper cannot keep up with that pace.

How the work runs today

Referrals come from doctors, hospitals and families. The coordinator books a home assessment and sends the nearest free therapist, who arrives with a goniometer, a gait belt and a walking aid to try. At the first visit the therapist measures joint angles, runs a Berg Balance test, checks the home for loose rugs and stair hazards, and agrees goals with the patient.

The plan becomes a package of sessions. Each visit is ticked off. The therapist updates the exercise sheet and notes what the patient managed unaided that day, such as the stairs or a walk to the gate with a rollator. Portable equipment such as a TENS unit, Theraband loops or a quad stick is carried in a bag and counted back at night.

Between visits the coordinator reshuffles the route when a patient is in hospital or a therapist is stuck in traffic across town. The referring doctor gets a discharge summary. Package payments are collected in parts, and the therapist’s travel, mileage and parking are claimed together at month end against the logged visits.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for home physiotherapy providers without a proper system.

Routes are planned by hand each morning

Six patients across a wide area means the sequence of stops decides how many sessions fit, and the coordinator builds it on a phone before breakfast. One cancellation breaks the run.

Outcome scores stay in the therapist’s notebook

Pain, Berg Balance and walking distance are recorded at each home and copied later, so the doctor who referred the patient gets a summary weeks after discharge. The follow-up has already passed.

Package sessions are counted from memory

A patient believes seven of ten sessions are used, the therapist’s diary says eight, and neither side can show the visit dates when the package ends. The argument has no referee.

Equipment leaves with therapists and returns late

Rollators, TENS units and wobble boards leave in bags, only one person knows which unit sits in which home, and everyone else guesses. Oximeters go missing too.

Consent and fall-risk forms go missing

Signed consent, hazard checklists and carer contact details are collected at the door, and they are hard to find when a family or referrer asks about a fall.

What the software does

What we would build for home physiotherapy providers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Referral and home assessment

Record the referrer, diagnosis, dislocation precautions after surgery and goals, then book the first home visit with the nearest free therapist who holds orthopaedic or neurological skills.

Visit routes by therapist

Order each therapist’s day by area and appointment window, show travel between homes, and rebuild the route when a visit is cancelled. The coordinator sees every gap at once.

Session packages and visit count

Sell a package of visits and tick each one as it is done, so patient and therapist both see how many remain and when the package ends. Reviews fall at fixed visit numbers.

Outcome measures and progress notes

Record pain, goniometer range of motion, Berg Balance and Barthel scores, and walking distance at each stage, charted against the goal so a stalled recovery shows by visit five.

Home exercise sheets

Give each patient a dated sheet of exercises such as bridging, squats and heel slides, with repetitions, and update it after each review. The old sheet stays on file.

Portable equipment register

Log each one as in stock, in a therapist’s bag or at a patient’s home with the date it is due back. Any rollator can be traced to one doorstep.

Referrer updates and discharge summary

Send the referring doctor a progress note at set visits and a discharge summary at the end, each drawn from scores already recorded so nobody retypes it.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

Common questions

Questions home physiotherapy providers ask before they call.

Is this for clinics that also visit homes?

Only if home visits are your main work. This suits providers where routes, bags of equipment and visit windows drive the day, while a clinic that sometimes visits homes may fit the clinic product better.

Can it plan routes between homes?

Yes, up to a point. It orders visits by area and appointment window, shows the travel between them, and leaves the final call to your coordinator. Live map directions are extra work.

Will the referring doctor get progress notes?

Yes. Notes go out at the visit numbers you choose, with a discharge summary at the end, and your clinical lead agrees what each note contains.

Does it give clinical guidance to our therapists?

No. It records assessments, scores and plans. Your therapists write them, treatment decisions and safety rules stay with your clinical lead, and the wording of forms is set with that person.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
