Questions for any vendor
Put these to every supplier you are comparing.
- Can we record resin drying for each lot?
- How do you handle several cavities?
- Are validated settings locked?
- Can customer-owned moulds be tracked?
- Can a lot be placed on hold?
- Does it print certificates?
- Can it connect to press monitors?
- What does a proposal depend on?
- Can existing moulds be loaded?
- Does it meet medical standards by itself?
Where the work usually breaks today
Circle the ones you recognise. They set the order of the project.
- Resin lots and drying are noted loosely
- Cavity data gets lost
- Customer tools need their own history
- Cleanroom packing is hard to prove
- Process settings drift without notice
