Questions for any vendor
Put these to every supplier you are comparing.
- Can it convert a quote in square metres to pallets?
- How is pigment tracked?
- Can I tell which run made a delivered pallet?
- Does it handle two different mixes in one paver?
- What if a mould is worn?
- Can kerbstones go on the same order?
- Is it possible to share stock with dealers?
- How is it priced and shown to us?
- Can we export the run and delivery history?
Where the work usually breaks today
Circle the ones you recognise. They set the order of the project.
- Colour drifts between runs
- Face and base layers are not recorded separately
- Orders are in square metres but stock is in pieces
- Top-up orders cannot be matched
- Test results are not linked to the delivered lot
