Questions for any vendor
Put these to every supplier you are comparing.
- Is it for new roofs, repairs or both?
- Will quotations use our own covering and labour rates?
- Can it compare material ordered with material measured?
- How are variations handled?
- Do crews work from a phone?
- Can the figures reach our accountant’s package?
- Can open roofs and unpaid bills be moved?
- Who owns the data?
- What does it cost?
Where the work usually breaks today
Circle the ones you recognise. They set the order of the project.
- Measurements live in notebooks
- Weather moves the whole schedule
- Extra work is not recorded
- Material is ordered twice or short
- Warranty calls have no history
