  • Sludge produced, hauled and balanced by month
  • Tankers received by source, volume and charge
  • Chemical delivered and used against flow treated

Questions for any vendor

Put these to every supplier you are comparing.

  • Does it control the pumps or the dosing?
  • Can several treatment works and pump stations sit in one account?
  • How are consent limits applied?
  • Can we log tankers and charge for them?
  • What about sludge going to different destinations?
  • Can operators use it without a network on site?
  • Is the laboratory result history kept?
  • Who owns our plant records?
  • How is the price worked out?

Where the work usually breaks today

Circle the ones you recognise. They set the order of the project.

  • Operator rounds live in a paper logbook
  • Laboratory results are not matched to the process
  • Consent reporting is assembled by hand
  • Sludge haulage is booked on paper
  • Lift stations fail between visits
