Questions for any vendor

Put these to every supplier you are comparing.

  • Is this for tailoring shops or factories?
  • How does a wearer list become a cutting plan?
  • Can it keep the approved sample for a school?
  • What if the buyer revises sizes mid-order?
  • How are logos and names tracked?
  • Can cartons be packed by class or department?
  • Will our running orders carry over?
  • Who can see what?
  • How is it priced?
  • Is it needed for a small unit?

Where the work usually breaks today

Circle the ones you recognise. They set the order of the project.

  • Wearer lists change after cutting
  • The approved sample is not on file
  • Size ratios are decided by hand
  • Logo and name work fails late
  • Packing by wearer is manual
